Not quite sure if this should go in this section, but I had a few questions about a few of the WWE's DVD's.
Is the Road Warrior dvd a Docum. one with matches on it, or is it a case of one being a match DVD with a little snip-its between matches of people talking about the team?
And how is the Brian Pillman one? Is it any good, and it's a doc/with another disc of matches?

It has a documentary with matches and promos as extras on disc one. The second disc is full of matches and promos

same as LOD

They are both damn good, in my opinion. Plus I won the Road Warrior one on Byte This so that automatically made it 10x better to me!

I own both, and like the Brian Pillman one better, but both are awesome. Pillman's documentary kicks ass, and then the matches are amazing.

I LOVE the Pillman one. When I started out watching wrestling, I'd watch both WCW and WWF, I went with WWF in the long run.
However, from all the WCW I saw, I was a huge Pillman mark. Unfortunately, I missed a ton of his career by being a WWF fan, so it was great me for me.

The Road Warrior dvd is one of my favorite wwe dvds. Chalk full of great moments. The only negative was Hawk passed away before it was made. But it has a lot of really good stories as told by Animal and Barry Darsow (who trained with hawk and animal)

Might as well ask this here: What is the Rise and Fall of WCW like? I've heard they miss loads of stuff out.

Might as well ask this here: What is the Rise and Fall of WCW like? I've heard they miss loads of stuff out. It's very incomplete. They spend most of the time talking about the rise (going back to the territories days) which honestly is pretty boring at times. the fall is really rushed. it's mostly people complaining that wcw was set to fail becasue the higher ups who owned wcw didn't want it to be run by a wrestling guy. they want a suit and tie guy who was going to make them money. they talk about ole andeson being a jerk they give a lot of credit to bill watts big show complains um I don't want to spoil it for you

The absolute best DVD when it comes to covering a wrestling promotion is The Rise and Fall of ECW. With a documentary over three hours long, it's the only one that feels like they did a complete job.
Loved the Pillman and Road Warriors DVD, even though the Road Warriors DVD inexplicably leaves out their return to the company in 1997. A lot of DVDs have inexplicable omissions. The Jake Roberts DVD barely covers his feud with Randy Savage for instance.

How come HBK's got four DVDs but they can't be arsed to release an updated Undertaker one?

They're probably going to give Undertaker a new one once he retires.
Jericho needs one badly.

Agreed. While there have been some pretty good DVD docs made (Road Warriors, Monday Night Wars) they can feel short and incomplete. I remember thinking the Mr Perfect one was pretty short for example. That's sad to hear about the WCW one. I was looking forward to that more than any other.

Well, I got both dvds, and I enjoyed them both. I also got the Eddie one, the one about cheating death, stealing life. That one I thought was too short.

I was sad they never even mentioned Hogan vs Sting The only reason I can see why they didn't mention that, and why they completely glossed over Sting is they're holding that off for a Sting DVD. That's the only logical reason I can think of, they're hoping to be able to get Sting to a Legend's deal and give him a 3 disc set. Taker will get a doc after he retires. They've got to be holding it off to give him a complete non-kayfabe one. Although Tombstone despite just being matches, was pretty freaking awesome.

I was sad they never even mentioned Hogan vs Sting The build up of Sting vs the NWO was a big part of why WCW was doing so well at the time. I was surprised they didn't mention it.

-Pillman and the Road Warriors dvds are two of the best the WWE has ever put out; along with the WCCW one. Hate they didn't add the 1st ever War Games match on the RW dvd but oh well.
