Does anybody else see The Straight Edge Society as this decade's version of Right to Censor ?

Not really.
Right to Censor was parodying the FCC.
The Straight Edge Society is just CM Punk being a dick about straight edge.

But the RTC was trying to push their righteous beliefs down the fans throats in the same way SES is doing.

There are definitely some parallels.

At least SES doesn't not have that annoying music or wear black and white.

I think both stables did have the right message (not so much Right To Censor, but definitely Straight-Edge Society), but they were just going the wrong way about it and forcing their opinions down the fan's throats.
Right To Censor were kind of right, in hindsight. The product was too raunchy at times, but they were just taking it to unnecessary extremes.
Straight-Edge Society are advocating a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle, which is a very good thing to do, but they are using a "you're with us or against us" mentality which naturally rubs people the wrong way.

RTC's thing was interrupting things people wanted to see and making sure it didn't happen. Things like extreme violence and sexy ladies. And their opponents and the announcers and WWF in general mostly believed that violence and boobs were great.
SES is about sending a message that most people on WWE TV agree is a good one, but in a way that annoys everyone.

He talks about "abusing" prescription or over the counter drugs. But he does it in a way that accuses every single person of doing that. So it's still more the manner he does it than the actual message. Hell, back when he was starting to turn heel in the Jeff Hardy days, he talked about using prescription drugs in their proper dosage when he had that "eye injury".

I had the same thought as the OP a few days back, the big difference I suppose will be that SES will probably have a higher card spot purely because of Punk whereas the RTC had no-one really above Val Venis' level.
Ironically, what with the rise of PG-programming, the RTC have kinda gotten their way... ;-)

Yep, they're both dick heel stables who don't like it when people have fun.
You don't have to be innovative in pro wrestling/sports entertainment to get over...you just have to be good at making the gimmick work.

Stevie Richards = CM Punk
Leader of the groups, always told fans what they should hear whether they like it or not (being straight edge or not showing women in bikinis or blood shed or whatever like with RTC)
Bull Buchanan = Luke Gallows
They are both the hired muscle of the group and do most of the dirty work to let the leader take the easy win
Ivory = Serena
The only females of the group...... lmao that's all I got for that
The similarities are there for sure

I consider the RTC to be the greatest heel stable ever, so no - but the SES is pretty awesome right now and they have some aesthetic similarities.

I find the SES entertaining, I just wanted the RTC off my screen whenever they came on.

I hated how the RTC did not stop Mideon running around naked, but everything else needed to stop. I know the reason for it, so no need for an explanation.

The main difference is that RTC was made so that WWE could thumb their noses at another group (specifically, the PTC) - whereas the SES is a vehicle for CM Punk to get over. RTC was gimmick centric, SES is wrestler centric.

There are some parallels but RTC were more prudes and right wing zealots. SES are straight edge---they listen to punk music and have piercings and stuff. RTC were nerds. I'm sure the RTC---in their gimmicks---didn't listen to punk music.

I can certainly see where the comparision would come from......both push a good point but go the wrong way about doing so.
I don't think they are set to achieve the same outcomes however. RTC was to poke fun of the censorship groups. SES is to condemn everyone.
