- Dave Meltzer is reporting that Randy Orton has a bad neck and was pulled from tonight’s house show cage match with Sheamus and replaced by John Cena. No word on if he is expected to miss any time or not.

When I saw the title, I first thought Orton.
Crazy.

Damn. If Orton is out, who could replace him? R-Truth? No, seriously. Well if it's serious, that sucks.

I thought it was Cena as well because he did have a report of back problems eariler in the year. Orton I hope is not serious where he need the fusion surgery that keeps him out a year. That would suck.

Here's hoping it's nothing serious, and Orton having some momentarily pain in his neck, and the WWE taking precautions.

I can't be the only one who thought "F***...please don't let it be Josh Matthews.", can I? What? He's tops in my book.
Sorry to hear about Orton, though. Hope it's nothing too serious there.

WHY RANDY ORTON WAS PULLED FROM MAIN EVENT IN NEWARK, NJ by Mike Johnson @ 10:00 PM on 8/29/2010
Randy Orton was dealing with a sore neck and shoulder coming out of last night's WWE house show in Wildwood, New Jersey, where he faced Sheamus in a Lumberjack match with the Nexus. WWE placed Orton in the six man tag earlier today in Newark, NJ so he could work a lighter match and rest. Orton vs. Sheamus in a Steel Cage had been the advertised main event. John Cena had been advertised for a six man tag against Nexus, but WWE switched Orton and Cena during the Newark event with an angle where Sheamus attacked Cena and Nexus attacked Jericho, leading to Orton and Daniel Bryan making the save.
Orton hardly tagged into the match and didn't nail the RKO on Michael Tarver after the bout, instead nailing the punt kick.
I am told the injury wasn't immediately being considered a serious concern, but Orton was likely to get checked out tomorrow in Boston to be sure.

At this rate, WWE's gonna need a time machine if it's going to keep it's stars healthy.

I don't know what the product would do if Mattews got injured. It would go down the toilet. Damn. If Orton is out, who could replace him? "Aw crap, somebody needs to be replaced... CALL MORRISON!" Anyway, hope it's nothing serious.
