I don't know why but I still say he has a lot of potential. He has gotten much better in the ring since he came back to WWE and is still only 27 years old. Also he is more over now as a face then I think he ever was as a heel. Okay maybe not more over but I'd say he is as over a face now on Superstars as much as he was a heel back in 2005.
He kind of reminds me of Lex Luger for some reason back when Luger had all the potential in the world back in the late 80s. I don't think Masters is as good in the ring as Luger was in the late 80s but I just always think of Luger when I think of Masters mostly because of the body building background and the fact that a lot of people never though Luger would make it to the main event after his poor WWF run which started out great but ended pretty badly with him in a low level tag team.

It's all up to the office really. If Edge and Jericho don't continue the campaign against The Nexus you can easily slot Masters in and if they run with it all the way until Skip Sheffield heals up, he can really get some momentum going. Especially considering his age, I'd be surprised if he didn't get at least a few world title shots before his career is done.

Yeah I mean if the guy was past 35 years old I don't think he would have a shot in hell at getting up to the main event. but I still say he has potential being so young and pretty much being a veteran now. I think he originally got pushed way too fast and was too young to handle that type of responsibility. I actually think today he looks better being more lean rather than looking bigger than the Incredible Hulk like he use to when he was first brought into WWE.

I seem to remember him already being in the Main Event Elimination Chamber.

When he was at the ripe old age of 22?

When he was at the ripe old age of 22? Age is irrelevant, it's about how over you are. The iron's gone cold on him.

You may be right, but WWE is not known for giving people more than one chance these days.

Maybe. Don't give him a bus though.
I think they should give him his old theme though.

They really overpushed him his first year there. Him and Carlito had NO business being part of the final 3 at NYR 2006

They really overpushed him his first year there. Him and Carlito had NO business being part of the final 3 at NYR 2006 They were there so people could say "oh, crap, Cena's definitely winning today". That way Edge's cash-in came as a more pleasent surprise. As for Masters, you never now, but I really don't see it happening for him (though I wish it would).

I doubt it. I like him, however, so if he did move up the card I would be for it.

You may be right, but WWE is not known for giving people more than one chance these days. unless you're Randy Orton. But as for the topic, I can't see them doing anything major with him at this point. It's a shame because there's something likeable about the big lug. I just think that getting in that Elimination Chamber match a few years ago is the most he's gonna do.

Never say never in this business. But I don't see him making it to the top and staying there for any significant length of time.

Hands Down.....NO
His chance in the WWE as a main eventer has came and gone. He had a couple decent matches here and there; The Elimination Chamber and his match with HBK sticks out in my mind.
Imo once the whole "Masterlock Challenge" thing ran it's course, that was the end of Masters shelf life.
Now he has a better chance of being a main eventer in TNA or over in Japan but WWE, nah.
