I was at the houseshow. He was limping through most of the match and couldn't hit the lariat good for the finish. He was down for a long time after pinning Tyson kid and had to get carried out by referees and Otunga (who looked really worried). We gave Skip a round of applause and I hope he gets better as he is definetly one of the standouts of Nexus. well, if he was able to work through the match, hopefully it won't be to long. As someone said earlier in the thread, they are covered for a few weeks with him. He could be completely healed the next time we see a live show. And it's not like they have to have him do much of anything beyond being able to walk and stand.

This is nothing bad. Now Otunga can show how great of a worker he is in their tag matches. Botched spinebusters for everybody.

Yeah even if the man was in a leg cast I'd keep him around. He's fantastic and a presence for sure. I saw just throw people at him as long as he can throw the lariat he has a job.

Damn I hope it's nothing serious. Skip has been on fire since the angle started. I agree wholeheartedly.

DAMMIT!
EARLY WORD ON SKIP SHEFFIELD'S INJURY by Dave Scherer @ 9:57 PM on 8/19/2010
A source close to the situation has told us that the early word is that Skip Sheffield suffered a broken bone in his leg last night in Hawaii. It's very possible he will need surgery. We will post more as we hear it.

And suddenly, we'll be told that Skip showed "compassion".

This Nexus angle is bizarre in all of the bad breaks that have happened to it: Danielson gets fired, Wade is almost deported, Skip injured, Otunga will have to wrestle more, the list goes on and on.

And suddenly, we'll be told that Skip showed "compassion". What I would do is for the start of the 900th RAW in two weeks (since this coming week is taped), is have Nexus find Skip laid out in the back holding his leg with a steel pipe near him. They accuse Cena, Cena denies as he is a good guy only does stuff face to face and you build to finding out that Darren Young is behind it for them kicking him out. No where near the best but you have options from that.

Just had a thought. Maybe they could do a couple of weeks where Young considers returning to the Nexus?

Bring back Darren Young by saying he apologized for dropping the ball. Then, bring in Husky Harris.

Well, it's been six months. They could bring back Ezekiel Jackson from his injury and claim he's Skip and he got a horrible tan during the show in Hawaii. The fans will buy it.

He'll probably still be on the show in some capacity, until they can think of a good assault angle that "puts him out of action".

He's my favorite NXT1 alumni after ditching the lame gimmick and becoming a monster. Get well soon, for all of our sakes.

You ABSOLUTELY have to write it in that he was taken out now. Whether its Cena, Bryan, Young whoever. Insta-push. Excpet in Cenas case obviously.
