Ah, crap. Hope he heals up quick, and that they don't decide to throw him out.

DAMMIT! EARLY WORD ON SKIP SHEFFIELD'S INJURY by Dave Scherer @ 9:57 PM on 8/19/2010 A source close to the situation has told us that the early word is that Skip Sheffield suffered a broken bone in his leg last night in Hawaii. It's very possible he will need surgery. We will post more as we hear it. I guess the Dynasty kicked his leg outta his... ah, forget it.

This sucks. I like Skip. The guy's finally going to make it after trying for so long, even being on Tough Enough and this happens. Hopefully it won't keep him out long. Eddie suffered an injury on his first WWE show and it didn't hurt him. And Orton and Batista were getting injured left and right when they debuted. Remember that Dudleys match?

Have Skip play a role similar to Big Dick Dudley when he had a leg injury...still be a monster despite having the crutch.

Damn, I was hoping it wouldn't be anything too serious.
Like I said before, really lousy timing for the guy, just as he was starting to look good.

They could surely turn it into an angle, stating that he was attacked backstage by someone (preferably Darren Young). He's a good talker, one of the few in the group that gets promo time, so I'd keep him around while he heals. It could throw an interesting arc into the storyline.

Darren Young revenge on Skip seems to pretty interesting.
Sure, it's another twist, but...it, twists are rarerer than swerves.

This is very bad for Nexus. They might as well pull the plug on it and have Cena beat them in a 5 on one elimination weakest link match.

It's fine. Even with a broken bone he could easily still be there with a crutch.
Give some explanation as to what happened, or even tell a distorted version of the truth and say the Hart's did it on purpose and boom, a tag title fued for some of the Nexus guys.
Simple stuff.

Nil desperandum.
WWE still have a week and a bit to come up with a storyline that could make the Nexus feud more interesting. Have Sheamus take him out saying "THIS TRUCE IS OVER"!
He could return to full action at Survivor Series or something, so that's good.

Seeing as Skip did a lot of tag team matches, I wonder who they'll replace to team up with Otunga. Maybe Slater to carry the workload?

That's disheartening. Skip was really taking off and is totally believable in the role he plays. Since they took away a lot of his "Corn-fed Meathead" persona, it's made him pretty intimidating. I can only hope he heals up quickly. Although Darren Young taking out the Nexus members 1 by 1 could get him over hugeeeeeeeee.
My suggestion? Husky Harris to Nexus.

That's sucks, hopefully he sticks around and helps others win matches, classic heel stuff.

Well, the Nexus angle has already endured a nonsensical firing and a visa issue, I think it can survive an injury. Pillman was able to hang out with the Hart Foundation on a bum leg, I'm sure they can find a way to keep Skip on screen.

If it's actually a broken ankle, that's not as bad as it could be. It takes much less time for an ankle to heal than one of the major bones of the leg.

He could return to full action at Survivor Series or something, so that's good. Spoiler for Raw on Monday... {Spoiler}Barrett declared the truce with Sheamus is over. So, Sheamus attacking Skip would be a logical reaction.
