That seemed really strange to be. Josh is usually the level head to Cole's irrational dislike of the "internet indy stars" and love of anything Miz.
So why did Josh agree with Cole, and then start hi-fiving him. It just seemed really odd, surely Josh should have countered Cole's opinions.

Maybe he's finally given up on getting Cole to shut up.
...or maybe Kaval really went off-script and they told Josh to do it.

Kaval stole Josh's rhymes.

Same reason Josh went all heel for no reason on Daniel Bryan when he left the show. He's incredibly inconsistent sometimes.

Josh has a crush on Laycool and is hating on Kaval for that reason and that reason only.

It's probably just on-air trash talk for that "Total Nonstop Action" line. Or they just want to make both Matthews and Cole heel commentators. Or Josh and Cole are secretly BFFs, I don't know.

I got the impression that he was trying to be sarcastic and it didn't come off very well.

Because, as I said in the NXT thread, the show's already cancelled, so I can't see WWE giving too much of a shit.

They needed an excuse to high five to make the show even more like TNA Impact.

Because Kaval made out with Layla, his secret mistress away from Rue.

It was so that everyone would have doubt on them going into the last segment.
The other three lost matches, so the two "experts" picked the one winner casting doubt on him as well and leaving a sense of "Well, who is getting thrown out?"
At least, that's what I got from it.

Maybe he was mocking Cole so hard that Cole thought he was serious so he just went with it so that Cole would be kept in the dark? WAIT nevermind this is wrestling and that required too much thought.

Because it still burns his ass that he lost Tough Enough. Hence, he'll lead a new faction of Ex-Tough Enough talent to invade WWE and take on the Nexus, including Maven, Matt Morgan, Shad, John Morrison, and the Miz.
