So on SmackDown, Matt Striker was like "I have 3 of those 7-11 cups so far, the Triple H one is real hard to find, possible collector's item" or something like that.
I lol'd. I don't know if it was true or not, but it seemed like Striker was just doing more Triple H praise; it was so random. What are other times where Triple H was suddenly put over out of nowhere on commentary or otherwise?

When they made him look like the good guy after he attacked Paul London and Brian Kendrick for no reason after THEY SAVED HIM.

During the Ricky Steamboat segment from a few months ago, Arn said Ricky Steamboat will be remembered among the greatest of all time, right along with Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, and Triple H. I wouldn't even put Triple H in the top 10 all time. I doubt I would put Undertaker there either. The fans were going 'Wooo' during this, but I guess Arn knew better than to mention Flair.

Vince Mcmahon thought Heyman was putting HHH over when he made that comment to JBL during One Night Stand saying "the only reason you were world champ for a year...because triple h didnt wanna work tuesdays!!"

When he beat RVD with a DDT, he didn't even have to use his actual finisher to beat him.

the supposed leaked thing where no advertisement for Smackdown Vs. Raw was Triple H couldn't be shown in a vulnerable position

By every guy he feuded with during his reign of doom. I think they were all contractually obliged to admit to how absolutely better he was them in every way, shape and form.

Naah, that was Paul Heyman. the one instance i could think of was when Steamboat was giving his HOF speech and randomly praised HHH out of the blue.

That time he beat Hardcore Holly on Heat back in 2000. I swear Holly said that he didn't care about the title he just wanted to beat HHH. Well you know what happened next.

Well, yeah. None of HHH, Shawn Michaels, or Undertaker would be top 10 material. Ricky Steamboat isn't either. The comparison fits.

Dusty devoting a minute or so of his Hall of Fame speech to pay tribute to HHH, who was injured and sadly couldn't grace us with his godlike presence at Wrestlemania 23. Then allowing HHH to stand up for a pop IIRC for the most random HoF speech put-over I can ever think of.

I'm a Bret Hart fan and my roommate likes DX, that night he said: "You hear that? Both DX were mentioned in the all-time greatest, but no Bret Hart!" I immediately retorted: "Funny how one of Ric Flair's best friends won't mention his fellow Horseman, now that he works for a rival company, you know this list is bogus!" ...And to add my two cents to the topic: I like how Christy Hemme, brand spankin' new to the business, mentioned in a radio interview (completely of her own accord, I'm sure) that Mr. Ryzin' is the greatest wrestler of all time.

I dont get it. HHH is a great wrestler, and a fantastic speaker, but WHY do they spend so much time cramming him down our throat?
Has HHH ever really been THE guy in WWE?
