Dusty devoting a minute or so of his Hall of Fame speech to pay tribute to HHH, who was injured and sadly couldn't grace us with his godlike presence at Wrestlemania 23. Then allowing HHH to stand up for a pop IIRC for the most random HoF speech put-over I can ever think of. That sounds too ironic, considering all the times Dusty was put over in commentary by others.

(After HHH runs Booker T down with racism)
Booker says "You know, some of what you said may be true"
WTF! lol

I also remember Bischoff say something like "the one guy from WWE I always wanted to sign away and never could get was HHH", or any of the revisionist Attitude era spots where the DX invasion of WCW is now the turning point of the War.

When Bischoff just handed him the strap. "You know I'd win it anyway." That one was justifiable; the week before Trips beat Taker to become number one contender for the WWE title, but with Lesnar jumping to SmackDown he couldn't challenge for it.

Bischoff said in one of his facebook Q and A's that the line where he said the one wrestler he wanted during the monday night wars was Triple H was scripted and in no way the truth.

I dont get it. HHH is a great wrestler, and a fantastic speaker, but WHY do they spend so much time cramming him down our throat? Has HHH ever really been THE guy in WWE? That is the thing that slays me. His initial push as world champion was about on par with what I felt he warranted. The Reign of Terror, however, was not warranted by him or by anyone. Ric Flair would not have worked with that push as the heel needed to show ass from time to time. Hogan in his prime would not have worked with that push as he needed to look weak to overcome the odds. Austin in his prime probably would not have even worked with that push. It was just too forced.

Reading this thread....it stopped being funny.
Which makes me worry about what's gonna happen when he comes back. Will it be a Royal Rumble win?

Which sort of implies that, for some reason, Lesnar didn't want to defend the Undisputed Championship against Hunter. Like maybe he was afraid of Hunter, or something. So he ran off to Smackdown! where he wouldn't have to face the big bad cerebral assassin.

The backdrop for Vintage Collection used to be Hogan (dunno who it is now), Austin and Triple H.
One of these things is not like the others...
