That turned out to be true. We had the thread recently about the ridiculous stories so let's try it this way. I remember one in 2003 saying how storylines were going to be more long term and about a month later the Jericho/Christian/Trish/Lita storyline started which lasted about 7/8 months I think.

Are you referring to news stories about real-life issues, IE business-related stories or backstage shenanigans? Or are you also talking about spoilers and match outcomes?

Festus and Joey Mercury to become CM Punk's disciples, DBD to return, Matt Hardy turning on Jeff, Jeff's Wellness failure #1, ECW to become NXT and well, 95% of what is reported. Most don't care to remember that, they just remember the few times they are wrong.

Michelle McCool is dating the Undertaker, with a photograph of them appearing next to each other apparently being enough to prove it. I really wish that the people like myself who had called BS on it were right.

Just ones which have probably been forgotten by most. As someone else said, people do remember when they are wrong more, so it might be nice to remember that sometimes they are right lol

The one about Vince instructing the ref's to tighten up and ref like it's a real fight. Sounded like a great idea...until we had accidental title changes and botched main event finishes because of the refs.

Another one I remember was about 2002ish, that Vince wanted wrestling to seem more like a real sport. Then Haas, Benjamin, Lesnar and Cena all appeared soon after using their real names with WWE bigging up their amateur backgrounds (not Cena obv lol)

During the Melina/Mickie feud, they had two changes on an international tour because of a ref screw up and the Londrick/Redneck Wrecking Crew South African title changes were because of it as well.

Speaking of refs, the whole "not saying the ref's name" thing I thought was so stupid, it couldn't be true.
The only ref's name said on TV since then: Scott Armstrong.

Uh...Jericho's re-debut, too.
