I just thought about this, and this could alternately be if he turns heel, too. WWE seems to like having at least one white meat babyface on hand per brand lately, with a slightly edgier face to back them up. I'd argue it's currently Cena/Orton and Mysterio/Show, Taker, or Kane currently.
Let's say Cena gets hurt.
Doesn't matter how, just matters that he's out for at one PPV cycle or more. Who steps up? Do they smooth out Orton and make him whitebread? Turn Sheamus face? Finally promote JoMo? Or just be lazy and move Rey Rey over to Raw?

Orton. They'd be STOOPID (  ) not to capitalize on his popularity. Hell, I think Orton is more popular than Cena at the moment (by a margin). I'm always seeing a sea of Orton related signs on RAW every week. |

Given the question is having a whitebread plain babyface and not just someone stepping up as people seem to have missed, I'll go a bit different and say just turn Jericho face. Return him to close to the Y2J character and you're set.
