Dos Caras Jr. turned down an WWE offer around 2008 Also Mistico, i think WWE tried it several times.

i know brock lesnar turned down an offer from wwe in 2005

Wasn't Rob Conway offered a contract and he rejected them? Yea he had a steady job and knew he would be brought as a jobber and probably back to where he was but without a job a year or so later when he would get released I thought they asked him to come back as a trainer in developmental, kinda like what Kidman is doing currently.
