Some of you are clearly missing the point. The problem isn't that he lost, it's that he looked like an absolute joke in the process. There was simply no reason for that. It doesn't help Miz, it just hurts Bourne. I dunno about that. The only quibble I had with the match was that Miz took ages to hit Skull Crushing Finale. Bourne got some decent offense in, particularly that hurracanrana. He hit like two moves during the last 60 seconds of the match. I'd hardly call that decent offense, especially considering that Miz isn't exactly the dominant monster type.

Yeah, that match did nobody any favors.
Miz took WAY too long to hit his moves (He stood in the opposite corner, taunted, stood there, and then ran, slowed down, and hit Bourne, and don't even get started on the SCF) and Bourne sat around and took them without offering any sort of resistance. It made Evan look like a chump (and he was beating Jericho not even 2 months ago!) and Miz look totally lost, and this is coming from a fan of both of them.
But then, as soon as I saw he was facing Ryder on Superstars, I knew his push was done.

Really, it ended when Cena didn't pick him for his team (which makes even less sense now that they're not doing Bourne-Miz). It was only after that that Bourne started getting punked out every week.
Miz is holding a title he doesn't need. Good as Bourne looked, having Miz go over the roster's best and most popular midcard face clean in 4 minutes was stupid booking. If it was because Miz will be cashing in this Sunday, then put Bourne on Cena's team and don't feed him to guys he could draw against down the line.

It was a short match where he looked like he got squashed because that is all that usually airs on Raw. It is the reason that midcarders go to Raw to have their pushes killed. If less time was given to skits, then midcarders can lose in a competitive manner rather than get squashed. It is endemic to Raw, not to Bourne's actual push.

Honestly, I'm going to forget all about this match by next week anyway, and will have no gripes if Bourne suddenly wins a big match.
