{Spoiler}WWE House Show Report: Sydney, Australia {Spoiler} Posted by Chris Lansdell on 07.31.2010 Get all the details! Results from today's WWE Smackdown brand house show in Sydney, Australia. WARNING: These results contain a SPOILER. Report courtesy Adam Yaghi and PWTorch: (1) Unified tag champions Hart Dynasty (Tyson Kidd & D.H. Smith w/Natalya) beat Straight Edge Society (Joey Mercury & Luke Gallows w/Serena). C.M. Punk wasn't there. Hart Dynasty got a huge pop as the first babyfaces out. During the match, Natalya up picked Mercury and slammed him on the outside. Kane came out and attacked everyone after the match and cut a promo. (2) MVP beat Cody Rhodes. (3) Alberto Del Rio beat Chavo Guerrero. Chavo played the babyface for the match. (4) Co-Women's champion Layla beat Kelly Kelly to retain the Women's Title. Pretty good women's match that was much longer than their TV matches. (5) Big Show beat Drew McIntyre. [Intermission] (6) Matt Hardy beat Christian with the Twist of Fate. Best match of the night. It was a nice, long 20-minute match with plenty of close nearfalls. Christian was limping a little bit on the way back after the match. (7) Intercontinental champion (as of next week) Dolph Ziggler beat Kofi Kingston to retain the Intercontinental Title. Kofi attacked Dolph after the match. (8) World Hvt. champion Kane beat Rey Mysterio and Jack Swagger in a three-way match to retain the World Hvt. Title. Every entrance had some sort of pyro, which is a break from the norm for standard house shows, and all of the matches were relatively long. They put on a very good showing and the crowd strongly enjoyed the action. www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/147638/WWE-House-Show-Report:-Sydney,-Australia- {Spoiler}.htm Without giving it away, that part in bold = awesome

{Spoiler} Good of them to ruin the Intercontinental Title match for next week! Why not just have Kofi come out with the belt as he is still techincally the champion (per WWE.com)? I hope Natalya starts slamming guys again. Wait...does that sound rude? Hopefully y'all know what I'm talking about. And every House Show I've been to has had un-necessary (and un-likely) pyro's. Not completely out of the norm.

The crowd loved it as well, but since they were heels seeing the crowd pop huge two weeks in a row for her probably is what killed it at the time. Well, that, and the fact that there were only so many guys that would and could do that for her.

Things changed up a little in Melbourne {Spoiler}http://pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/Arena_Reports_10/article_42825.shtml
8/1 WWE Results in Melbourne, Australia: Kane vs. Mysterio, MVP vs. Rhodes, SPOILER before next week's Smackdown
Aug 1, 2010 - 2:06:03 PM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WWE Smackdown house show results August 1, 2010 Melbourne, Australia Report by John and Andrew Walton, PWTorch readers
Before the show started, Tony Chimel announced the Intercontinental Title changed hands to Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston was demanding a re-match tonight. Editor's Note: the title change will air on Friday's episode of Smackdown after being taped on Wednesday.
(1) Unified tag champions Hart Dynasty (Tyson Kidd & D.H. Smith without Natalya) beat Straight Edge Society (Joey Mercury & Luke Gallows without Serena) in 12:00 to retain the Unified Tag Titles. The Harts came out to a big pop as the first wrestlers (and babyfaces) out followed by Joey Mercury and Luke Gallows to loud boos. The crowd was a little dead at the start of the match, but they warmed up with both sides playing strong faces and hell. Overall, it turned into a good match with good crowd interaction. (Luke managed to get a guy in the front row mouthing off to him.) The Harts won with a Hart Attack on, I believe, Joey Mercury.
After the match, Kane came down and cleared house on both teams, then cut a promo about the Undertaker's attacker, Rey Mysterio. (It was odd to see continuity here, but not for the IC Title change before it airs.) Kane told the crowd he would seek vengeance tonight.
(2) Alberto Del Rio beat Chavo Guerrero via submission in 9:00. Alberto came out first and cut a promo in Spanish, followed by telling us Australians that now we know how he feels because he can't understand a word we say either. He then explained his disappointment in the country after being here two days and not seeing a single Koala or Kangaroo. (I was laughing through the whole thing; he's a great heel live.) Chavo came out to a good reception and some cheers in respect of Eddie. The match was solid, with the story being Del Rio working over Chavo's left arm, which eventually led to a submission win via modified armbar. It was an impressive move to see live. Also, Chavo actually hit the Three Amigos properly.
(3) Kelly Kelly & Natalya beat Co-Women's champion Layla & S.E.S. member Serena in 12:00. This was a reasonably good women's match. They were given plenty of time and all did really well. It was a pretty formulaic tag match in which Natalya was beat up for several minutes until Kelly came in for the big save near the end. Serena was impressive considering how little in-ring time she has in WWE. Notable spots include the Kelly Kelly stinkface on Layla (big pop) and Natalya vs. Only one or two spots looked a little off; it was a reasonable match otherwise.
(4) Drew McIntyre beat Matt Hardy in 9:00. When Drew's music hit, there seemed to be a mixed reaction of cheers and boos, which quickly became all boos as he slowly made his way to the ring in that arrogant and cocky way of his. This was followed by a very good pop for Matt Hardy. It was a good match with a couple of teased comebacks for Matt, but in the end, Drew hit his Future Shock DDT for the pin and win. On a quick side note, Drew looked to be having a lot of fun in this match. I caught him grinning a few times at the audiences chants of "You are a wanker."
(5) Soon-to-be-officially IC champion Dolph Ziggler beat Christian and Kofi Kingston in 15:00 in a three-way match to retain the Intercontinental Title. Yet another good match. Ziggler cut a good promo at the start of the match announcing that Australians are losers and that he would give us one thing we could never get ourselves: a winner. Ziggler was thrown out of the match early on as Christian and Kofi went back and forth. Eventually, Ziggler pulled Kofi to the outside and kept kicking him in an attempt to get back into the match. Dolph eventually retained after a good sequence of teased finishes.
[Intermission]
(6) "Dashing" Cody Rhodes beat MVP in 15:00. This was another good match. Cody cut an hilarious promo to MVP saying he was happy to put on a wrestling exhibition, but his perfect teeth cost him $20,000 - that's $2,000 a tooth apparently. He asked if they could agree to no punches to the face, to which MVP hit him, of course, in the face. Good back-and-forth match with Cody hilariously dropping to his knees and completely shielding his face to a lot of laughs. Cody won with the Cross Rhodes. One thing that was interesting was Cody seemingly pulling a few moves out of Hardcore Holly's moveset, most notably the Alabama Slammer.
(7) Big Show beat Jack Swagger in 5:00. Both correspondents said this was a disappointing match. Jack came out to big heat followed by Big Show to what was surely tied for the biggest pop of the night (if not even a tad louder). The match got off to a pretty slow start and ended after Jack did his running Vader Bomb followed by a straight right hand from Show into a chokeslam for the win. It was nearly a squash for Show and a forgettable match.
(8) World Hvt. champion Kane beat Rey Mysterio to retain the World Title. Mysterio got a pop on par with Big Show, who, for some reason, is insanely popular here in Australia. Kane came out to a mixed reaction from the crowd. The match went back-and-forth with three attempts from Rey to hit the 619, but Kane put him away with a chokeslam from hell.
After the match, Kane went to Tombstone Rey, but Big Show came out for the save. Jack Swagger then came out to stop Big Show, and this was followed by Drew McIntyre to help the heels, followed by Kofi Kingston to help the faces. Eventually the faces cleared Jack Swagger (Big Show's KO Punch) and Drew McIntyre (Kofi's Trouble in Paradise). This left Kane to take the 619 from Mysterio followed by a splash off the Big Show's shoulders. The faces then posed in the ring to Rey's music to send the crowd home happy.
Overall, I an enjoyable show with the exception of the far-too-short match between Show and Swagger. The pyro was there for most of the entrances and all of the performers seemed to put in their best effort to make it an excellent show.
Biggest Pops: (1) Rey Mysterio. (No question - the 12-year-olds in the audience have spoken.) (2) Big Show (3t) Kofi Kingston & Matt Hardy.
Biggest Heat: (1) Kane signaling the Tombstone. (The 18+ men in the audience loved it, but were very much the minority.) (2) Kane after the Tag Title match. (3) Jack Swagger.
Oddest Reactions: (1) Drew McIntyre drew about 60 percent heat, 40 percent applause during the entrance for his match. (2) Kane was very much a tweener tonight - the crowd loved and hated him in equal measure.
Audience: The arena was easily 90 percent full on the floor and in the stands. Mostly younger children with mom or dad; a small percentage were 18+ men and women.

Brisbane {Spoiler}8/2 WWE results in Brisbane, Australia: Big Show wins battle royal, Kane vs. Show, Rey vs. Swagger Aug 3, 2010 - 8:46:43 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WWE Smackdown house show report August 2, 2010 Brisbane, Australia at Brisbane Entertainment Centre Report by Louis Spina, PWTorch reader (1) Big Show won the Brisbane Cup, which was a 20-man battle royal. The match went about five minutes. (2) Women's champion Layla beat Kelly Kelly in 7:00. (3) Alberto Del Rio beat MVP via arm bar submission in 7:00. MVP eliminated Alberto during the battle royal leading to Alberto attacking MVP once he was eliminated soon after. When Alberto was announced and got to the ring, he called out MVP and challenged him to a match for revenge. MVP came out and his left shoulder was taped up. His "injury" must have happened after he was attacked by Alberto after being eliminated in the battle royal. (4) Unified tag champion Hart Dynasty (Tyson Kidd & D.H. Smith) beat Straight Edge Society (Luke Gallows & Joey Mercury) in 12:00. The match played out the same as in Melbourne earlier in the tour. (5) Soon-to-be Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler beat Matt Hardy, Christian, and Kofi Kingston in a fatal four-way match to retain the Intercontinental Title. The match went about 20 minutes. (6) Rey Mysterio beat Jack Swagger in 15:00. Rey did not appear to be in the battle royal at the beginning of the show. (7) World Hvt. champion Kane beat Big Show via chokeslam in 15:00. The finish came when Jack Swagger distracted the referee while Kane gave Big Show a shot to the head with the title Belt. Notes from the show: Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes, and Chavo Guerrero were the only ones not to pull double-duty that night and only appeared in the Brisbane Cup battle royal. Notes, in my opinion: I would estimate the crowd around 5,000 people. The crowd was vocal and filled with families. It was a good two hours plus of entertainment and I would like to think all the wrestlers enjoyed the night too. Smackdown reigned all over the Hulkamania tour in so many regards, which is not fair to the guys on that tour, some of whom did their best to make it a good show. Biggest Cheers: -- Big Show -- Rey Mysterio -- Matt Hardy Biggest Jeers: -- Jack Swagger -- Drew McIntyre -- Kane Match of the Night: the Fatal Four-Way for the Intercontinental Title. Also in my opinion, some of the merchandise was ridiculously over-priced, including some t-shirts at $50 Australian. Included were John Cena t-shirts, which, on a scary note, were sold out of adult sizes by the end of the night. Also, Rey Mysterio masks were going for $35-40. On a final note, I am surprised Kane is almost being presented as a heel champion on this tour. I only follow WWE shows via reports on the Internet, but I don't recall any tweening of Kane as of late. Editor's Note: On this tour, it appears to be WWE going ahead with "heel Kane" before it plays out on Friday's Smackdown, similar to WWE going ahead with Ziggler as IC champion before the title switch airs on Friday. pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/Arena_Reports_10/article_42864.shtmlAdelaide {Spoiler}WWE SD! House Show Results (8/3): Adelaide, Australia by Nick Paglino Aug 03, 2010 Thanks to Nathan Manly for sending this in: Matt Hardy def. Christian via Twist of Fate - Very good back and forward matchup, finished rather suddenly. Kelly Kelly & Natalya def. Layla & Serena via Kelly Kelly hitting the K2 on Layla for the victory - Same old WWE style tag match, Kelly Kelly isolated for most of the match, Natalya gets a hot tag and does the damage, Kelly Kelly takes the spoils. Serena walked away from Layla mid-match. Alberto Del Rio def. Chavo Guerrero via Hurricanrana Armbar - Del Rio was very impressive, was getting some major heat from the Aussies. Cut a promo at the start of the match which got him huge heat. MVP def. Cody Rhodes via Play of the Day - Another good back and forward match. I expected Cody to win, but MVP motored on for a good win. UNIFIED TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Hart Dynasty def. Luke Gallows & Joey Mercury via DH Smith forcing Mercury to submit to the Sharpshooter - Alot like the Divas match, alot of isolation. Hart Dynasty were over huge with the crowd. INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH Dolph Ziggler def. Drew McIntyre & Kofi Kingston via Ziggler throwing Kofi out of the ring after connecting with Trouble in Paradise on McIntyre for the victory. Probably the match of the night. Three highly talented workers, very enjoyable matchup. Big Show def. Jack Swagger via Showstopper Chokeslam - Finished pre-maturely. Big Show got a huge reaction as a face, almost as big as Rey Mysterio. WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH Kane def. Rey Mysterio via Chokeslam to Hell - Good main event. I will be posting the video of this match when I get the time so you can watch it for yourself! All in all, this is the best WWE event that's ever been seen in South Australia. Was good enough to even be shown on WWE TV in my opinion. www.wrestlezone.com/news/article/wwe-sd-house-show-results-83-adelaide-australia-108411

So, we actually have CONFIRMATION that the audience is mainly little kids (and parents?) This has been the subject of sooooo many debates on here...

Hmm... notice the tour featured the SES facing the Hart Dynasty. What about the Jobberdudes or those two guys who vanished out of nowhere?

A bit belated, but just to finish up Perth {Spoiler} 8/4 WWE Smackdown in Perth, Australia: The unusual duo of Christian and Cody Rhodes vs. MVP and Matt Hardy, MVP shows off a different look, The Hart Dynasty vs. Luke Gallows and Joey Mercury for the Unified Tag Titles Aug 5, 2010 - 12:09 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WWE Smackdown house show Perth, Australia at the Burswood Dome Report by Dot Net reader Phil Baumert The top half of the auditorium was curtained off but the arena looked reasonably full. Tony Chimel informed us that there was a new Intercontinental Champion, Dolph Ziggler, and that he'd be facing Kofi Kingston in a championship bout later tonight. 1. The Hart Dynasty (w/Natalya) defeated Luke Gallows and Joey Mercury (w/Serena) to retain the Unified Tag Titles. Tyson Kidd started off slow and took a bunch of offense from Gallows and Mercury. Serena tried to cause a distraction on the apron while Gallows tried to work on Kidd, Natalya took care of her and Kidd got the hot tag to David Hart Smith who cleaned house. Harts got the W with the Hart Attack on Mercury. 2. Layla defeated Kelly Kelly to retain the WWE Women's Championship. KK is ridiculously good looking in the flesh and Layla got her fair share of hoots from the posse of teenage boys sitting behind us. Fairly standard Divas match, they both hit their signature moves, and Layla scored a clean pin with a botched finisher. 3. Alberto Del Rio beat Chavo Guerrero. Big cheers for Chavo, and the crowd was behind him all match. Del Rio was on offense for much of the fight and looked strong if a little unexciting. Chavo got going with a 1/3 of his Three Amigos before Del Rio picked things up again. Chavo scored a frog splash for a near fall before Del Rio secured the win with his twisting finisher into an arm bar. 4. Matt Hardy and MVP defeated Christian and "Dashing" Cody Rhodes. Big pops for Christian and Hardy. "Dashing" Cody Rhodes told us that his teeth were worth $20k and were the only fake thing about him, he then tried to get his opponents to make a deal not to hit him in the face, poser. Good back and forth match with everyone getting their offense going, as expected Christian turned on Rhodes and slapped him in the face before walking out of the ring. Hardy and MVP hit Twist of Fate and Ballin' to pick up the win. MVP looked very weird with his hair blown out instead of his usual cornrows. 5. Dolph Ziggler defeated Kofi Kingston to retain the Intercontinental Title. Missed the start of this match due to intermission lines for the concession stands. What we did see was a lot of holds and ankle/wrist/arm locks. Kofi got going towards the end with the Boom Drop and a missed Trouble in Paradise. Ziggler rolled him up for the win. 6. Big Show over Drew McIntyre. McIntyre came out to big heat. Once Show got to ring, Drew proceeded to tell us that we didn't deserve to see him wrestle and that Australia was a nation of no good convicts, which got him even more heat. The bell rang and Show dropped him with the Big Right Hand within three seconds. Shortest match of the night. 7. Kane defeated Rey Mysterio and Jack Swagger in a Triple Threat to retain the World Hvt. Championship. Biggest pop of the night for Rey, no surprise judging by the number of Rey masks in our section. Swagger looked like he was back to his previous chest thumping self which I enjoy more than brooding angry Jack. Lot of signature offense from all three stars, but Kane and Rey had the majority of the exchanges with Swagger leaning against the crowd barrier for the early part of the match. Kane won with a pin on Swagger. After the bell we got the expected 619 from Rey followed by a chokeslam from the Big Red Monster. Biggest pop: 1 - Rey 2 - Big Show 3 - Christian Most Heat: 1 - Drew McIntyre 2 - Jack Swagger 3 - Alberto Del Rio www.prowrestling.net/artman/publish/WWEliveevents/article10013356.shtmlThe last stop of the tour: Auckland, New Zealand {Spoiler} 8/5 WWE results in Auckland, N.Z.: Mysterio vs. Kane, MVP vs. Swagger, SPOILER before Smackdown TV Aug 5, 2010 - 11:26:11 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WWE Smackdown house show report August 4, 2010 Auckland, New Zealand Report by Rohan Singh, PWTorch reader The arena was about 60-70 percent full, but not as full as it was for the Raw show last year. The nosebleed seats were tarped off and a couple of the upper sections were completely empty. I'd say attendance was around 7,000-8,000. The crowd was hot throughout and the arena was full of kids, which was no surprise. (1) Unified tag champions Hart Dynasty (Tyson Kidd & D.H. Smith) beat Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre to retain the Unified tag titles. (2) Alberto Del Rio beat Chavo Guerrero via submission. (3) Co-Women's champion Layla beat Kelly Kelly via pinfall to retain the Women's Title. (4 MVP beat Jack Swagger via pinfall. Really good match, I thought it was the match of the night. (5) Soon-to-be Intercontinenal champion Dolph Ziggler beat Kofi Kingston, Christian, and Matt Hardy in a four-way match to retain the Intercontinental Title. (6) Big Show beat Straight Edge Society (Luke Gallows & Joey Mercury) via pinfall in a handicap match. (7) World Hvt. champion Kane beat Rey Mysterio via pinfall to retain the World Hvt. Title. Post-match: Kane was going to Tombstone Rey when Big Show came out and made the save. This was followed by run-ins by Jack Swagger, kofi Kingston, and McIntyre. The faces cleared the ring of the heels except for Kane, who ate a bunch of finishers to send the crowd home happy. Biggest Pops: (1) The Big Show (2) Rey Mysterio (3) MVP Biggest Heat: (1) Cody Rhodes (2) Dolph Ziggler (3) Jack Swagger Overall, it was a really good show. Every match was above average to good, with the exception of the handicap match, which was your typical Big Show comedy match. Smackdown's show blew last year's very average Raw show out of the water. pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/Arena_Reports_10/article_42912.shtmlEven though Dolph's title win has now aired, I figure I'd keep using the spoiler tags to help thread loading

The show in Auckland was awesome. Was very impressed with Del Rio's mike work and wrestling. It was real funny how Chavo came out and each year he's been there there have been "Chavo's a Wanker" chants and then during that match, Del Rio goes out the ring to catch a breather and Chavo goes to the top turnbuckle, points at him and says, "He's a wanker". That part was classic. MVP's such a boring kiss ass coming out in an All Blacks jersey. I'd say every match was good if not great and had an awesome time.
