.. to be a star. that's twice now he's gotten to do an epic post match ass kicking on a heel, and twice now the crowds went nuts for it and chanted his name in the aftermath. WWE really has something with him, crowds just really wanna get behind him.

I agree completely. I remember when Kofi destroyed Orton's race car, and the crowd went nuts. It's only a matter of time before he breaks through to the next level.

Who was that? I've only watched sporadically over the past few years.

Who was that? I've only watched sporadically over the past few years. The one who is called Randy Orton. The feud was also the reason for Orton's face turn.

Orton already had face momentum, that hardly counts.
Kofi is going to be a World Champion by Wrestlemania 28, mark my words. And considering he's my all time personal favorite wrestler [yup, seriously] I'm extremely pleased about that.

Not only that, but it also took away all the pops Kofi was getting around that time.

{Spoiler}Considering he's losing the Intercontinental Championship next week, perhaps he's getting ready for a push toward the World Championship.

Not only that, but it also took away all the pops Kofi was getting around that time. Eh, he started out really hot in the feud, and I wouldn't say the crowd totally turned on him. It was just the crowd that had wanted to cheer for Randy for a year starting to do so, they didn't BOO Kofi, that I recall. And the crowd was very hot for Kofi busting up Randy's car and doing the run in to save Piper. Sadly, a couple key botches ruined Kofi's momentum and it really was at least PARTIALLY Kofi's own fault. Even I can acknowledge that. But the kid is obviously talented on the mic and ring, he just made a few poorly timed mistakes. But Orton pinning Kofi like three straight times also didn't help.

I hope they keep the harder edge to him... that was one of my favorite beat downs I've ever seen. Usually when a woman slaps a face.. he stands there, looking all mad, then gets jumped by the heel from behind. Kofi gets pissed.. then proceeded to beat the tar out of Dolph with Vicki watching, and the crowd really got into it. See, it IS possibly to have an edge in PG WWE.

Kofi definitely has a big upside and hopefully WWE takes advantage of it. His character is evolving to from the happy go lucky Jamaican to a guy who will split you wig open.

Alongside Cena going nuts on Darren Young on RAW a few weeks back, it was the best face on heel beatdown in a long, long time.
Well, since Kofi jumped Orton I guess.

Except that the last time WWE did something with it, fans turned on him and started to chant for the heel. Fans started to turn and chant for the heel because he wasn't allowed to get any advantage on said heel. Notice the crowd was booing him in a No 1 contenders match after losing 3 times in a row to Orton.

Not to mention that anybody besides Triple H or Undertaker would have trouble connecting with the crowd positively in a match featuring both Cena and Orton; that's a situation they should have avoided putting Kofi in in the first place.

Kofi seems to have the potential for a fairly justified heel turn. He's been out there for about two or three years, busting his body trying his best to work and the last few months has been screwed out of the title on more than one occasion. With nobody else supporting him, he feels cheated and against a glass ceiling so he decides to take things to the next level...

I can't see Kofi as champion. I liked the guy but his gimmick got stale for me.
