You now are missing the way he put over Gregory Helms as "Smackdown's best keep secret!", how much he hates Sylvan and The Miz, the fact Super Crazy looked like his hot dog vendor, the fact that he wants a Little Bastard, and the way he says "Machismo" when Rey Mysterio wrestles.

JBL meant what he said. Put him and Jim Ross together and that is an orgasm of sound.

You forgot about him complaining and being horrified constantly about Vito being a man who wrestles in a dress!

And Yang as a redneck.
I miss JBL in general. Ring, commentary, authority figure, in general.

And Yang as a redneck. I miss JBL in general. Ring, commentary, authority figure, in general. Yeah I loved that. The most hilarious part is when pressed on why he wasn't a redneck he mostly got shot down and just yelled "Well look at him!" to not seem like a total racist. That was awesome. See we need a color commentator like that Lawler absolutely sucks now. My other favorite thing with JBL as a commentator was he was the only person to make Cole call a decent match. When with someone who just lets Cole talk into oblivion and not bring up his total lack of knowledge and make him defend himself he just is so boring. Tazz did this a little but not enough.

JBL putting over Booker and Sharmell was awesome, as the guy did a classic heel job of making the royal couple seem like they were gods walking with lowly mortals.
He also made a tremendous effort in putting over guys backgrounds like Finlay and Regal's pasts in European promotions, as well as Kendrick's time in Zero One. And unlike Striker it always came out naturally from him.
In may ways he reminded me of Ventura in that he put over faces he seemed to respect and made no effort to hide his favoritism for certain guys.

JBL was a great color commentator. Top five of all time in my opinion. Ranks up there with Heenan and Ventura in my opinion. I wish he'd come back and continue that role. I really miss it. He could go to RAW and make it watchable again.

My favourite memory of JBL's commentary was when King Booker won the World Title:
Ref: 1 Cole: No, not this way!! Ref: 2 JBL: King of the World?? Ref: 3 JBL: KING OF THE WORLD!!
It was just a moment for me expecting a kick out and JBL just made the moment for me.

I actually liked how JBL started to warm up to the Miz as he started getting better in the ring. It actually did a lot to put him over as he started teaming with Morrison.

Trashing the head of talent relations. "If our head of talent relations wasn't too busy on his skateboard this wouldn't be happening right now!" paraphrasing since I'm not totally sure of the exact quote. Also loved how when Micheal Cole talked about anything about fighting in the ring, JBL countered with, "When have you ever stepped in the ring!" JBL was awesome. Edit Actually I found some awesome JBL quotes as commentator here's the best of them: JBL: (To Cole) Take a closer look at your buddy. I wanna kill him. (About Jimmy Wang Yang) JBL: I hate the frenchman because he's french, I hate Jimmy Wang Yang because he thinks he's a redneck and I hate you because I have to sit next to you every stinking week! JBL: Most of Matt's ex girlfriends are gonna be with Edge or someone like him. and one I always loved that I couldn't find is: Cole: It's that Little Bastard! JBL: Stop that! He has a name! His Name is Hornswoggle!

IIRC, it was "all they need is a skateboard, half a brain and no talent and they could be head of talent relations" I hated JBL at first on commentary because all he talked about was how great he was or comparing things to himself rather than puting the talent over. Once he got into the groove and toned it down, he was excellent. That being said, Striker is the best commentator WWE's got right now

JBL meant what he said. Put him and Jim Ross together and that is an orgasm of sound. Maybe 10 years ago sure.
