Now the ECW is back at as a full-time brand, do you think the Invasion angle (after an appropriate time, of course) could be successfully re-done?
If Vince would swallow his ego, re-hire Bischoff for the WCW faction, let Heyman have some say in the ECW side of things, I think it could come off well. Not as well as if he'd have done it right the first time, of course, but still pretty well.

If they ever brought back WCW I don't see the point in having it be an "invasion". Just bring it back as another brand (hell, just rename Smackdown!) and cut out the "They're here to take our jobs!" crap.

We have a better chance of seeing Nailz come back than seeing SmackDown become WCW.

Two wonderful South Park references in a row. I love it.
Anyway, Smackdown cannot and will not be renamed WCW because the CW network signed on for WWE Smackdown. I know it seems trivial, but WWE would be in violation of their contract with the network if they changed the name of the brand to WCW Smackdown or whatever else. Network execs being shown WCW's dying figures would further concern them, should Vince ever decide to resurrect WCW (which he never would, by the way, though I wish he would).

I wouldn't be against it. Just don't kayfabe give Bischoff controll right away, make it look like he underhandidly took it from Vince. Eventually have Bischoff want to "take over" the WWF too.. and then have ECW enter it as the wild card free agents wreaking havoc on both sides.
Have WCW and WWF team up in an untrusting partnership (Arn/Flair & Luger/Sting vs. nWo Wargames anyone??) to take out ECW.
That's really how it should've been done the first time around really.
