Did we ever find out WHY Taker was screwed at Breaking Point? I mean it was hinted at that it was all Vince's idea but...it went nowhere. All I remember is them mentioning it when Teddy was like NUH UH, PLAYA during the chairs match at TLC...COULD VINCE HAVE TAKEN OUT THE UNDERTAKER?

Rumors at the time were they were looking at Vince/Taker at Mania, what with the screwjob and Vince saying on RAW how there was no competition and no one could beat him. Then opportunity to work with Bret occurred and it was dropped.

But...it wouldn't have even been the first Vince/Taker match. Thank God we got HBK/Taker instead...then again who would HBK have wrestled that night? Bret? HHH? Punk?

I'd have actually rathered Vince / Taker than either of the matches we got (particularly the Hart one... God, that match and angle sucked as does anything Bret does now), but I can understand the logic in it; not a lot of chances to work with Bret, after all. I'd say they were in talks with him for awhile and they were setting that up with Taker in case it didn't work out - when they abandoned it it was probably because they'd worked things out with Bret.
