"Coming back in the hard way" has always irked me. I buy it if you pull them over by the head, neck, or arm, but when they do it to where they just pull the ropes and it causes their opponent to helplessly flip back into the ring it looks retarded. The kayfabe physics aren't even right. Wouldn't you just crash into the ropes and likely fall from the canvas?

Speaking of Kelly Kelly . . . that stupid, stupid spot where she wraps her legs around her opponent's neck, helicopters around them and then tosses them. It makes me roll my eyes every time I see it, because it is so obvious her opponent is doing the spinning for her.

Also speaking of Kelly Kelly, I hate the spot where the opponent catches her kick and she backflips out of it from one leg. She has to hop around forever to get ready for it, and her opponent clearly gives her a push to help complete the move. It's just horribly contrived and serves no real purpose.

Triple H's facebuster: Seriously, he's been doing it for years and it makes other wrestlers look stupid to keep going for the back body drop.
The one that needs to go most is the "Diving double axe handle onto a grounded opponent that gets countered by the opponent lifting his boot up"
Looks so ridiculous, I mean why are they going for a double axe handle on a grounded opponent anyway?
Also, I'll second the big dive of nothing that gets countered by a kick. I hate that spot.
Most of Rey's ridiculous offence, especially that stupid move where the opponent lifts Rey up for no reason other than to get bull-dogged. Don't know what it is with Rey but much of his offence just looks ridiculous compared to other high-flyers,

In battle royals or Royal Rumbles, having your opponent on the ropes, backing up and running at them.
98% of the time it leads to you being eliminated genius. STOP!
Although I would love to see just once, someone do the spot from the Raw is War SNES game where someone is just running the ropes for no reason and you kind of step in front of them by the ropes and launch them over with a hip toss.

Double standard refereeing in tag matches. Heels switch out behind the referee's back with no noise; nothing happens. Heel #1 claps hands & Heel #2 enters the ring, no problem. If a face makes an unseen tag, "I'LL DQ YOUR ASS IF YOU DON'T GET BACK OUT!" I've always hated that. This. I was coming into this thread to post this until I saw that you'd already done so.

Teasing the superplex. It happens far too often, where one guy has control of the match and props his opponent up on the turnbuckle, only for the other fellow to get a second wind, kick him down, then hit some move off the top rope. It just annoys me. I want to see the damn superplex. Especially when it involves guys who don't usually do aerial moves. EDIT: And in the 619's defense, it does seem to usually be set up by Rey specifically drop-toe holding the other guy onto the second rope, so it's not a complete coincidence that his opponents keep ending up in position for Rey to hit his finisher. Now, allow me to explain more. Drop toeholding someone, I can buy it as a set up, to an extent. HOWEVER, the hurricanrana that makes them end up on the second rope? No. I don't buy that. In my opinion, there's no difference in execution from a hurricanrana that would normally flip an opponent head over heels to a hurricanrana that conveniently places someone on the second rope. Why does anyone else who's ever used a hurricanrana flip the opponent, whereas Superman Jr Jr ends up having an opponent go into the second rope?

Although he's thankfully gone, Shawn Michaels' SCM was a thousand times more contrived than the 619.
"Hmm, I've just been elbow dropped but still able to go, I best get up in this odd time where Shawn has seemingly vanished. Hey, what's that constant pounding noise coming from behind me and why are the crowd getting worked up? I know, I'll get up and then turn around to check it out, not as if it's a trap or anything. I mean, I've NEVER seen it happen in any other match with Shawn Michaels where something bad like this happens. OK, I'm on my feet, now I'll just turn around and check out that-"
Lather, rinse, repeat.

I haven't seen it done in WWE, but the spot where wrestler A tries to pin wrestler B, with A's head between B's legs. Then for no reason at all, A flips over so A's shoulders are on the mat between B's legs. I know they're going for the "lot of quick 2 counts effect". Are we supposed to believe that B is putting so much pressure on A's head that it makes him do a complete flip?

If they did they would modify the hurricanrana sometimes too. But since they don't they just do the flip.

(Guess now that he's out of sight, I've put him out of my mind.) That whole "tuning up the band" was stupid. As you said, EVERYONE IN THE ARENA would often stomp along with him, but the wrestler in the ring with him is completely oblivious. Furthermore, the fact that Michaels would hit it out of nowhere sometimes made it baffling as to why he wouldn't do that all the time.

The thing I don't understand is how grabbing the ropes is cheating. I understand rope breaks, but what never made sense to me is how in some matches, when someone makes the cover, either grabbing the ropes or putting a foot on the ropes gains leverage for an instant 3 count. I know in some matches, I have seen the pinned opponent kick out of that, but I never understood that.

Ref bumps in almost every way, shape or form just need to f*** off at this stage. Even as a fan of a lot of heels (so ref bumps are usually one of the few ways I get to see them win) they really annoy me now.
But especially any ref bump that involves him waking up and seeing the previously dominating face out cold being pinned by the heel, surrounded by weapons while heel wrestlers who weren't there previously stand outside the ring and then MAKING THE COUNT. Ask Striker to run a replay or something, you tool.

Any contrived setup for the 619. The 619 in general. "Hmm..I think I'll take a breather here on the second rope...whats the absolute worse thing that could happen? A mexican midget kicking me in the fa---BLARGH" there's three or four moves that have setups that leave a guy stuck on the second rope.

And speaking of Irish Whips, they don't need to go away, but some guys really need to work on making them not look so damn fake. If someone can find that video of Scott Hall being Irish Whipped into a truck or something in WCW, and he has to run about 30 feet after being whipped, it was the most ridiculous spot I've ever seen. A spot I hate, just because it is always so blatantly contrived, is in a tag team match when the face team makes a tag with the ref's back turned, he will always force the guy out of the ring, but the heels will go in and out of the ring without tagging and ref does nothing. See: any Rock n' Roll Express match. I don't mind that because I can see the logic. The heels are actually right next to each other when that usually happens so there's actually no reason for the heels to do the switch without the ref seeing it. It's just cheating for the sake of cheating. In fact in the instances where they do the fake tag by clapping hands they could just as easily yell "Hey ref! Look over here so you can see us tag!"
