Booker T is maybe the greatest overall champion of the last 20 years. Nobody can challenge the amount of World, United States, TV, Tag Tea, Intercontinental titles this man has won in both WWE and WCW. Edge is the only other man that I can think of, along with maybe Chris Jericho.

Quality>Quantity. Booker T is a good blend of both, but he is not the best world champion in the last 20 years.

Booker T is one of the most decorated champions ever. I will say that, and I like him, but i don't think he's the greatest ever.

The King Booker reign was probably the last really entertaining World Title reign in my book. The matches were pretty lousy, but Booker just went so far over the top with that role that it worked.

Between WCW and WWE, yeah he's up there as far as number of reigns.
-5 WCW title reigns -6 TV title reigns -11 WCW Tag title reigns -4 US title reigns -2 Hardcore title reings -3 WWE World Tag Title reigns -1 IC title reign -1 WHC title reign
33 (35 if you count TNA) total title wins.
By comparison, Edge has 29, with Jericho having having 28 (including WCW and ECW).
Of course this is all depends on whether or not you count the Hardcore 24/7 rule as well.

Anyone with 35 total titles isn't a joke. It is a legit argument that anyone could make. Booker is one of my favs of all time, and has the titles/skill/charisma to back it up.

I really like Booker T. He isn't the greatest, but he was sure great at what he did.

I will say winning 35 titles at the very least suggests a level of trust in one's talents, it not necessarily the talents themselves. Plus there's also the issue of whether or not quantity is superior to quality and so on.
Of course, I love Booker to death, and he's one of my favorite wrestlers ever, but its all subjective.

I love how some people are dismissing this. 20 years only goes back to 1990...I'd say putting Booker in the elite of that group of champions is not only not a joke, but almost obvious.
