After Edge and Christian split up they both started their singles careers with Edge slowly taking off and became champion and Christian staying in the mid-card ranks. At the time I believed he was capable of so much more than that, even going to the top of the mountain. But the years have gone by and I stopped watching wrestling after the Benoit tragedy and boredom but continued to check up on certain guys because I still cared about them and Christian still seems to be considered underrated/underused by some of the fans.

Vince has and will always see Christian as nothing more than a mid to upper mid card guy. He is and always will be under used. It's a shame because he's totally awesome. Unlike that Mike guy.

I like Christian, but he is where he should be. He's a slightly overrated talker, and very good worker...but nothing more than an Upper-mid card talent.

I was gonna make a thread about Captain Charisma. I know the majority likes to say turn him heel will fix everything but dammit I want my cheating, underhanded, smartass, CLB Christian back. Thats the Christian WWE knows. Yeah I would have totally bought into him as WWE champion back in 2005 when he was verbally owning that Marky Mark wannabe.

I don't understand why they keep a mic away from him.

Ehhh...yes and no.
He got his ECW title run and that lasted a long time. I thought that was a nice endeavor to a slowly, dying breed...but it was hopeful that he would be put in the Main Event. Right now, he's in the solid mid-card with the crowd, just not being used as much...but if something happens to Mysterio or Big Show, they can easily place him in as someone who can sustain there if needed.

When one of the main eventers on Smackdown get hurt again, Christian might finally get to carry the ball. I always wondered would the Great Khali had won that battle royale years ago on Smackdown and awarded the World Title if Christian had stayed. At the time, most of the big names were hurt and the other options were not feasible.

He's fine where he is but I would love to see him as champ one of these days.

Absolutely yes. This guy makes and sells feuds very very well, and he'd be a perfect and incredibly entertaining foil for someone like Swagger or (as a heel) Kingston.
A question, though: Whenever people talk about this kind of thing, people mention like placement on the card and things like that. This is always confusing to me: Shouldn't we just care about TV time instead of fake stuff like card placement?

I'd rather see him as IC champ than Kingston, to be honest

I never saw Christian as a guy that could carry the WWE, so no, I don't think so.

He's being used a LOT better than I thought he would be when WWE brought him back in last year, I'll tell you that.
He's probably my favourite guy to watch right now, so I'm happy as long as he's still employed.

He is being used in the Hardy and Henry position, veteran that can still go who helps the younger talent.

Well, if Swagger won the WHC... not sure where you were going to go with that, but here is my take.. if that up-start can be given the title, then I think christian, former ECW champ, should be given an opportunity..

I love to see him given a Bret Hart style title run where he is dominated physically yet still manages to win using clever tactics. Alternatively a cowardly heel run where he does everything in his power to win however there is a danger that he would turn into a face if he was given mic time.
