What are some midnight releases you've been to. Games, movies (theater or dvd) music (if you're old enough to remember when people actually cared about new album releases) you picked up or saw on day one. Last one I was at was probably GTA 4. Picked up a few SAW movies at midnight releases. Funniest one though, I picked up Silent Hill the movie, just gotten off work which is near Wal Mart anyway so I hung around the store until midnight. Thing was, Silent Hill was released the same day as Madden. So I waited in the Maddden release line for the Silent Hill dvd. That's all I can really think of. Never been to a day one, midnight showing of a movie and I don't think I've ever picked up an album then either. So, I know some of you were at the Halo Reach thing the other week. What's your midnight release collection?

Watchmen, Wolverine, Expendables, Twilight: Eclipse (for reviewing purposes only) and Resident Evil: Afterlife.
Would attend more if it weren't for the fact that I usually work Thursday nights.

Halo: Reach, which was a really fun little party. Great times, and I even got a free replica Octagon mask they had left over from AAA Heroes Del Ring pre-orders.

Star Wars: Episode 1. The fact that I was disapointed by it was softened a bit by seing it with a theater crammed full of other excited geeks.

GTA4, and I accompanied a friend to HP7's book release.
I'll be going to one for World of Warcraft Cataclysm if there happens to be one.

A midnight screening of the movie, Valentine's Day? I think. I dunno. It was supposed to be a horror movie of some kind.
I am not sure why I went. I just remember a friend wanted to go.

I've worked 3 midnight releases: Metal Gear Solid 4, Super Smash Bros. Brawl & GTA IV. Out of the three, Brawl was the most fun. We let people play the game about 2 or so hours before the release and everyone was having a great time. The other two were just your standard midnight releases.

GTA IV, before that I didnt really know it was possible to have a great time standing in a queue in the cold and dark. Will defintely do the same for Black Ops.

Halo: Reach PURELY for the lols, at my extremely local GAME store. Only about 30 people showed up, I knew half of them, not to mention the entirety of the workers in the store, so shouting obscenities at them through the doors before they were unlocked was hilarious. A very fun, unique atmosphere.

I've only been to one so far: Transformers 2. It was such an awesome experience, though, that I plan to go to more.

Return of the King.
Attending a midnight showing of a three and a half hour long movie is a bad, bad idea.
