Absolutely. One of the most technically gifted groups in music history and they get snubbed every year. It makes me wonder if these big rock bands that get snubbed even give a shit if they get in or not. I know KISS doesn't, and I really wish more people would follow the Sex Pistols route. If they get in, send them a vicious letter attacking them.

Rush is another band that doesn't get nearly enough credit for there sales and musical talent.

I think they all deserve to get in, LL Cool J and Waits especially. On a related note, I don't get the argument some people make that the R&R Hall of Fame should be restricted only to guitar-based rock acts. Hip-hop and R&B/pop acts are still under the "rock 'n roll" umbrella as popular music. I don't get the argument that "rock n roll" and "popular music" mean the same thing. I don't understand how one possibly arrives at that conclusion.

I'm gonna go with the unpopular choice and say Neil Diamond, one of the best singer/song writers of the 20th century.
That being said, I'm also glad for Alice Cooper, Donovan, and Dr. John.

I also voted Neil Diamond. It seems that a lot of inductees are simply included by virtue of longevity or number of years in the business as opposed to judgment based on a body of worthwhile musical contributions. That said, I suppose longevity is visited upon those with worthwhile musical contributions. Either way, Neil Diamond wins, for me.
