Y'know, the stuff that makes you go "HEH?" when you hear someone criticizing or flat-out bashing it.
- Brian Johnson as the AC/DC vocalist. Bon was fantastic, but I always felt Johnson brought more of an edge to their catalog.
- Sunkist.
- Al Pacino. Eh, I like his over-the-top acting.
- Michael Jackson as songwriter. Yes, he just recorded the songs he imagined in his head as opposed to writing any notes out, but the main had natural harmony.
- Tetsuya Nomura.

KISS' image. Out of any musicians who have ever looked even slightly interesting, KISS takes the blunt of it with people saying they care more about image than music. Obviously their image is a big part of them, but out of all the theatrical bands they get criticized the most.

Homicide was the best cop show to ever appear on television. The Shield is second and NYPD Blue third. Andy Sipowicz (Dennis Franz) and Frank Pembleton (Andre Braugher) are the two greatest cops ever shown on television.
Old country music (from 55 - 75 roughly) is the best version of it. The rest, meh. It was a time when the music actually had a soul (I'd grant that to pre-55 music as well) and people had talent and didn't all sound alike.
Books, real books that you can hold in your hand and have to turn the pages of, will never ever be replaced by any ebook reader in existence for me.
Manners and politeness will always be highly important to me.

There are people on youtube that crap all over Doom as having garbage graphics and being "too old school" Well from the words of Roddy Piper I say, "Old-school is cool!"

Anime.
Also, I second manners and politeness. Unless someone is intentionally trying to mess with me.

When I first saw this topic, I thought it said "Personally scared of cows." A friend of mine was a city boy. He was scared shitless the first time he saw a cow up close. As far as he knew, cows were all steaks and milkshakes. He really was terrified, for some reason.

AC/DC, I always take it for granted that their music is universally loved and sometimes I'm shocked when I run into someone who hates them.
Nirvana.
Back to the Future.
Halloween (the original movie, not Rob Zombie's remake or most of the sequels)
Mortal Kombat 2 (the videogame, not the horrible movie).

I don't think you guys know what "sacred cows" mean.
You're all just listing stuff you like a lot.

Just a few movies I like are personal cows and whenever someone says something really personal about me. I can't stand when someone tells me "you'll like this" or "you'll like that movie". It's like they know my tastes and can automatically determine what I'll enjoy and not enjoy.

Believe it or not, it happens. Mostly from guys (and sometimes even girls) who prefer asses and/or legs. They have the nerve to say boobs are overrated.
