Only 1 theater in my area was showing it and it was an hour away but all the buzz I've heard on the film was good and the commercials hooked me.
As somebody who spends as much time online as I do, this film scared the crap out of me. Without giving too much away, it's about a photographer in NYC who strikes up a friendship with a midwestern family and what he discovers once he becomes suspicious that they are not in fact who they say they are.
The fact that it was a documentary could scare some people off but it was a damn good film.

Same here. I almost feeling guilty about posting as much of the plot as I did.
The scary thing is that it's all real. Makes me want to stay as far away from the internet as possible.

Just my opinion, but, I think this is going to be the better Facebook movie. Definitely the only one I'm interested in.

Well I saw both.
Social Network was the story about HOW the site was founded and the people stepped on along the way.
Catfish is about how some people take advantage of internet anonymity and can be whoever they want to be.
Completely different films.

Good on you for making it through "Social Network", though. I know I couldn't. Ya see...I have no interest in how Facebook was founded or the people who were responsible. I just want to see the f***ed up things that happen because of it.

Then it's strangely poetic, eh?
