Historic? Prestigious? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I for one will not see a title held but such stalwarts as Sable, The Kat, Hervina and Stephanie McMahon besmirched in such a manner! Good day sir! Every title has it's jokes. David Arquette, Vince Russo, Vince McMahon, David Flair, Hornswoggle, etc. But it is the title held by Hall of Famers The Fabulous Moolah, Sensational Sherri, and Wendi Richter, not to mention Trish Stratus and Lita. It certainly has a more impressive lineage and history than the Diva's title.

Let's not forget what they did to the tag titles. They retired the World tag team belts and are going with the WWE tag titles, which was first carried by Edge and Rey Mysterio in 2002 when they discovered them in a bar in Miami Florida.

So, this is the only belt with lame ex-champs? There were no screw-ups for the WWE, WHC, Tag, or IC blets? Let's just focus on the negatives and hope everyone agrees because it's not like this belt was important to anyone. [/sarcasm]
Back to the topis, i think this can be a positive for two reasons. 1) Let's not tarnish the belt. There is little actually good competition, and having Eve and Kelly on the same title lineage as Trish and Moolah would not do the belt any justice.
2) This can give the divas a chance to step it up. From here on out, we can't rely on past champs. These ladies have to MAKE that belt. It doesn't have good history now, but neither did the Woman's or IC when it started. People like Beth, Natalya, Gail, Michelle, and Melina have to make this belt something to talk about, and in a sense, become future legends.
But a new belt design wouldn't hurt.

Divas title means nothing these days. Sorry but WWE don't care

To me, it's kind of a statement to what both WWE and most of the fans think of the division these days.
Moolah, Richter, Sherri, Stratus and Lita were WOMEN.
McCool, Melina, Natalya, etc. are only DIVAS.

I'll take this opportunity to argue with a poster on the first page about Moolah's 25 year plus title reign.
Moolah won and lost the NWA Women's title many times, but was WWWF/WWF Women's champion the entire time. Sure, that recognition was only applied retroactively, but who cares.

As long as it somehow inherits the Women's Title's lineage then this is the correct choice, though I imagine it won't.
Still, as much as people hate on the Diva's design it was way better than that boring, bland, microscopic design the Women's title has. Diva's title looks way more worth fighting for then the Women's did. People always say that the Diva's tittle looks like a toy or whatever but I think it looks modern and totally makes sense for the division.
I'm hoping for a totally new design though once the "co-champions" gimmick is over.

I think it's just their way of killing off women's wrestling in WWE. They don't care about it and haven't ever since Trish & Lita left in 2006. They haven't had a real storyline in that division since Trish Vs. Mickie and that was again 4 years ago.
One thing that's even dumber is this...didn't Teddy Long say they couldn't have two belts? That's why they broke the women's championship into two in the first place. Why do both have belts again? What happened to that or did it change when they became unified and defended on both shows?
It's also stupid as someone mentioned earlier that the one to unify the belts wasn't champion to begin with. I guess it doesn't matter because WWE is only interested in giving Mrs. Undertaker as many "honors" as they can possibly give her rather than actual women's wrestling.
It's a shame because if she wasn't Mrs. Undertaker...she would have been gone a long time ago. She probably wouldn't even get signed with TNA.
