I think the title change has more to do with getting DashingTyre to appear on RAW. Have no idea why they booked the HD so poorly, though. The Uselessos have no business going over Doink & Dink, let alone the Tag Champs. i posit the official name for them should be MaCo.

I reiterate they just aren't that over. They were REALLY doing ok with Bret walking out with them otherwise they get the entrance pop and if they hit like one good move a pop. They rarely get the "hot tag" pop, or even the winning pop. They really just aren't that over, thing is the most charismatic person on the whole team is the valet. *sigh* Not even Bret is over right now. It's painful to see...

In fairness, is losing the tag titles jobbing them out? Is winning them meaningful? Do they serve a purpose?

Whether they pissed someone off backstage, whether Neidhart is the reason for it, whatever it is, they lost. I was upset, just because it really didn't seem that good in booking-wise to have some random thrown together team like Drew/Cody to win, but that's my two cents.
Also, Tyson Kidd shined in that handicap steel cage against Jericho. Jericho helped the kid out a good bunch, and I loved it. Everyone knew they wouldn't beat Jericho, so it isn't some travesty.
The tag team division means squat, exactly like the Diva's. If they want to throw in a tag team like Mark Henry and Evan Bourne into a turmoil, it's obvious. As long as I can see HD team up and not disband, I'm a happy camper.

i think the hart dynasty is going splitsville. kidd and nattie will go onto have a shot at their singles careers. things look bad to david hart smith, but maybe he could pull off a cody rhodes and outshine his tag partner. who knows..

Maybe they rate the Usos but feel they aren't ready for the belts yet, so having made the Usos look like rubbish over the past few months the office decided on damage control and gave them a quality win.

I actually thought that they were going to go through all of the teams and then The Nexus would come out as a surprise final team and beat them or something like that so I was very surprised they went out first.
Then again, maybe Vince only pushed them because of Bret and since Kane forgot to bring Bret back after making him disappear, it could be a long few months for The Hart Dynasty because it's gonna take a while for Bret to make his way back without a map.

Maybe they pissed no-one off, and they just wanted some other guys to have the belts?

I think the only reason the Hart Travesty was pushed in the first place was to appease Bret; WWE wasn't doing anything remotely resembling pushing them before Mania, and since then the Harts have only been made to look competent when he's around.

They didn't piss anyone off, it's just that the people booking have the mentality of a small child playing with toys and have no idea how to book a tagteam division where more than one team gets pushed at time.
New tagteam debuts, they get a onesided feud with another team that aren't particularly over due to poor booking and a push which the booking team quickly get bored with, then they're used to job to another debuting team/mismatched partners tagteam, after which, they're forgotten about. If they're lucky, they'll get a slight push with one member turning heel to total apathy from the audience due to the teams No-push, then they'll flounder a while. maybe reform once or twice before their inevitable release.

This exactly and it's really no big loss if any of the four are cut.

Dude, don't you remember? They had like an uncompetitive, three-week long feud with the Usos, a team that appeared out of nowhere and no one was given any reason to care about, in which there was no explanation why they were feuding, no reason to be interested, and the focus was on the valet's ability to do a splash off the top rope!
Management gave them EVERY CHANCE IN THE WORLD. If they can't get over under THOSE conditions, then clearly they're failure losers with no charisma who no one could care about under any circumstances and shouldn't be on television.

Is this like when people say Sheamus isn't over in this thread? He clearly is, and they clearly are. As much as a mid-card tag team act should be anyway.

I still say Tyson and Natalya would be better off without DH. He's definitely the weak link.

It's a good thing that they lose the titles IMO even though they held it for like 9 months they weren't defending them on a regular basis(tv wise)
