During the Miz&Riley beatdown of Bryan tonight, it's the first time I remember in a long long time that i've been pulling for the face. I'm a huge Mizfit but even I was thinking 'what a dick!.. leave him alone!.. someone save Daniel!'.
So yeah, well done WWE in getting me to root for the face and hate the heel, I know it's a smarky thing to say, but it doesn't happen often.

This is definitely the feud of the year. It's been going on since January too.

Tenay & Taz can learn a thing or two from the WWE announce teams. The way they acted really added to the segment. Cole did the best thing an announcer can do during a serious moment: shut the hell up.

I seriously wanted to see Miz get beaten within an inch of his life. Kudos, WWE , for making an effecitve douche heel that you want to see comeuppance to rain down on.

When even Cole is concerned for Bryan, you know they've done good work.

3 kicks to the head after he was leaning up felt redundant.

All those slaps to the face...I'm surprised he wasn't stretchered out.

Guess I was the only one that found the entire segment more awkward than AWESOME!! I can't even pin-point it but it almost crossed over into parody or something. They kept repeating the same stuff, then the end seemed like total overkill.
I disagree with the announcing praise as well, when you consider some of the stuff that goes on in WWE a 2-on-1 beating being sold like the entrance set fell on him seemed silly to me.
It was almost like two jocks or cool kids beating up a nerd, so is Cole right, Bryan's a nerd? And Lawler's commentary like we should feel sorry for poor little Bryan reinforced it almost. I don't know clearly I'm in the minority (and the arena crowd was wild for it) but it was a total miss for me.

Because Miz is a sore loser, AmDrag was taking repeated blows to the head followed up with a SCF. SRS BZNS.

They have down a great job with this fued lately. Too bad the WWE can't use blood anymore, because I would love to see this fued end in a bloody "I quit" match between the two, Magnum TA/Tully Blanchard style.

Miz's behavior reminds me of something that Jake Roberts once said, that the fans above all else hate three things:
-a liar -a cheat -a crybaby.
Miz really does fulfill that. Daniel Bryan beat him? No he didn't, Miz really didn't lose. He tapped out? It was because was injured.
Any coolness he has is consistently canceled by Cole's fawning over him and Miz just constantly being a petty asshole who never acknowledges anyone but himself, and who never accepts responsibility for anything.

I agree with what everyone has been saying, and really, regardless of the flack that we gave the WWE for firing Bryan (or really making us believe they did, whatever) the way that this whole saga has played out between Miz and Bryan has been brilliantly booked. They knew that they needed a big win for Bryan to establish credibility, and the NoC victory was just what the doctor ordered.
I really believe that although it might take Vince/creative a couple times, they will eventually do the right thing in terms of booking, and when they have a really great angle like Miz/Bryan, it is all the more helped by the extensive manpower (the hype videos, cameramen) they have at their disposal to bring an angle like this up to a whole other level. No matter how much Wrestlecrap we sometimes have to sit through with the WWE, an angle like this might even fool the most cynical cynic into thinking that the WWE DOES actually know what they are doing.

Also kudos to small things. Miz realizes despite being a heel the fans like to chime in with "AWESOME" when he ends his promos, so what does he do? he stalls, or like tonight doesn't even say it, another great heel tactic, not letting the fans interact with you.

Miz always seems to work kinda stiff with Bryan, and it really adds to the angle.

Miz always seems to work kinda stiff with Bryan, and it really adds to the angle. He had to work stiff with him. The camera was less than 3 feet away. I'm curious to see how Spoony reviews this one, because I've thought the past few weeks of Raw were pretty good, but he's been saying they've sucked.
