Do you know what annoys me on the documentary sections of WWE DVDs such as 'Heartbreak and Triumph.' THE BLOODY BACKGROUND MUSIC!!!
Does anyone else find the continuous background music far too loud and distracting?
Why the hell do they do this?

It's the idea a lot of TV shows an dmovies have to pump in music to make things dramatic. The only problem, and this is evident in WWE Films work too, if WWE thinks it works if you do it every single second.
One thing that annoys me is how on match compilations they feel the need to have some segment between each one. Elimination Chamber set is a good one - SmackDown 2008 one, they couldn't think of anything more to say about it beforehand than, "Hey, look, Undertaker! You knew he'd pop up on this DVD somewhere!"

My only complaint of every otherwise excellent doc they've made is the music. From cheesy, to just bad, to wholy inappropriate, it seldom works, especially during the melodramatic parts.

Id say they used it best in the Warrior DVD when Edge is talking about the plane promo, and they play creepy music and it's hilarious.
Also, you can always tell when the documentary is going to end when they play the "ending" music.

The horsemen dvd had all kinds of cheesy 80s-rock sounding music (then again, the majority of the doc took place in the 80s so it did fit in).

I thought the music went pretty well with Rise and Fall of ECW.

I thought the music went pretty well with Rise and Fall of ECW. Mick Foley's explanation of how the WWF's "attitude" came from ECW outlasted the music. For some reason, I find that amusing - Mick Foley being so long-winded even the music couldn't keep up with him.

No, but I do find them quite hillarious at times. The music playing during the part of the AWA dvd, when Verne Gagne is going off on Vince buying a nice chunk of his stars in late 83, stands out in my mind as a particuarly great example.

it seems like it isn't mixed as well as it should be.
The background music is too loud and the talking isn't loud enough. At least on my surround sound it seems that way. I am constantly trying to hear the voices (not randy orton)
Its annoying, especially when I run on my treadmill and watch these

I never found the music too distracting for the dvd so I guess it's good.
