Hmm, that might work. And if not for a tournament, then for somebody's debut match. It sucks to lose right out of the gate, after all. Tell me about it, I'm 0 for 2! (thanks, jerks!) Yeah same here. That's the only thing about voting and stuff like that. My feud with Richlen would be better if my guy seemed like an actual threat to him... then when he would beat me it would seem like a big deal. But, with my guy doing the JOB twice for him it really doesn't make for much interesting storyline. Heck, I'm not really caring if I get wins... I just want to make an interesting story develop.

Wow, I'm honestly shocked I retained this time... I was half tempted to vote for colt myself with how much effort he's put on his character as of late.
Anyway, either way me and colt had no intention of ending the feud last night, so next week we'll open the show with a promo, I'll just get Colt to use my.computer.
Lodi winning actually makes the next step in our feud easier.

Off topic, kinda, but Generals promo actually made me tear up a little, especially remembering when me and General fought over that little monkey.

Ok, I'll let you in on a little secret.....
I DO have a system when it comes to WWCF voting, and it boils down to a simple set of questions
1. Am I in the Match? (Vote For Me) 2. Would me losing make for a better storyline? (Vote For Opponent) 3. Am I allied with Anyone in the match/have history with anyone in the match? (Vote Accordingly, i.e The General of the Monkey Army is more likely to get a vote from me than say.....Neo Het or Major America) 4. Would the outcome affect me/my character in any specific way? (Tournements, multi mans etc) 5. Is it someone's debut (I try to vote up the newcomers so they don't get discouraged...but I'm just one man/pirate) 6. If I'm really stuck however.....I look over the Promo thread (Basically a place to "campaign" for your character) and see if anything comes to my mind 7. If all else fails, I flip a coin.

i'll write the tag match IF someone will help me make sure it doesn't turn into a disaster.
and to descent, i think our feud has a ways to go yet, and i will not be surpised if you get quite a few wins on me before it ends. in fact, i HOPE you get some wins in on me. it does me no good to be winning a largely one-sided feud.

Look guys, I get that some of you are complaining about the way you are booked right now, but's it's a hard row to hoe. I went around a month before I had a win and 3 months before I did anything of consequence. If you stick with it, you'll do fine, but I don't think because you are new you should get a sense of entitlement that you should get an intro push.

This may sound very angry or sour grapes of me but the thing I don't like is this Woe is Me attitude that I'm seemingly getting from Grave, whether that's sarcasm or actual feeling I don't know. Don't whine about it, sometimes life doesn't go your way. If you want to see how your character should be done write his matches yourself or talk to the match writer about how you want it to go down.

I'm not really a fan of it either, but I can't help except think back to how frustrated Viva got over his losing streak. So it's not limited to new people. Now, if he's serious about calling the people who didn't vote for him jerks, then that's kind of different. Since DPM explained what will win you votes with him, I'll do the same. 1. Promo, ideally promo well and have a grasp of spelling and punctuations and capitalization and so on. But even if you're not a great writer, you should still post promos if you want to get votes, either during NiteRaw or in the thread. I never vote without looking at the promo thread and asking myself who the better talker was, or sometimes (like with the goodbye letter posted by the General) who wrote the most creative post. Now, sometimes I vote for people who--in my opinion--didn't write very good promos, but when I do that it's because their opponent didn't even bother to write one. If I have a choice between somebody who at least put the effort in, and somebody who didn't, I'm going to go with the guy who put the effort in every time. Even if it's nothing more than a single sentence like "I'm going to win, and you're not." That's lazy effort, but it's still effort, and if the other guy didn't even write a single sentence then it's no contest. All of that being said, I think there's such a thing as overdoing it. Sometimes exchanges go back and forth seemingly forever, and to me it's not important who gets the last word in, but rather who did the best job. 2. The other thing that factors in--albeit rarely--is whether I'm the person's ally. This may be because from the moment I started in this fed I was part of a team with Amigo, so both of us were voting for Blood & Stone to win time after time. When Stone was in singles action, it just seemed natural to vote for my tag team partner out of loyalty, so I did. I'm not sure if I should have, mind; ideally the win should go to the person who did the most and who did the best writing rather than who's got the most friends. But regardless, that's sometimes a factor. 3. Am I sick of the person winning? Like number two, this might not be fair and I perhaps shouldn't vote based on this, but it has an effect. Many fans of WWE don't like John Cena for a lot of reasons, but one of the big ones is that they feel he's pushed too hard and booked to seem too invincible. So sometimes I'll find myself voting against somebody rather than for somebody, because I just think they've been on top too long and I think somebody new deserves a title reign. The funny thing is that with Blood & Stone's record, there are probably people who acknowledge that I get the job done promo-wise (hope that doesn't come across as too boastful) but who want to see new champions already, so people might wind up voting against me for the same reason. I guess I can't blame them if they do. But getting to Grave's case specifically. Jeremy, in your singles matches I voted for the other guy both times, and here's why: IMO, the promos you've posted are too short. You don't usually say very much, and I think that's a mistake because what you do say is usually good. I just wish there were more of it. The promo you cut challenging Cageking to a non-title match was a good length, I felt. If the ones you write in the future are that length or longer, I think you'll do better than you have. The final thing I have to say is that you should try to avoid alienating people, because if people get really annoyed with you they're likely to say "Screw it, I don't want to help this guy out" and vote for the other guy. EDIT TO ADD: Oh, there's another thing that determines how I vote which I forgot about. 4. Sometimes I'll look at the promos and I'll think "Damn, both of these guys did really well." That's when I ask myself which ending would be better. For example, let's say that there's a feud in which both wrestlers have cut excellent promos. Let's say that the feud is over one wrestler injuring the other and the guy finally coming back to get revenge. In that case, I'd probably vote for the guy who got hurt because I'd want to see the character get some measure of payback.

I can't help but think that this was somehow my fault as well. I wussed out of my match writing the day before the ppv. I'm really sorry, but I ran a fever of 103.6 and felt absolutely terrible.

No worries, Sparks, and with a fever like that there's no need to apologize. I hope you're feeling better now! And I probably ought to apologize to Colt as well for how frustrated the tone of my post yesterday was when I told everybody he wouldn't be able to write his match. It's not like he asked for his computer to go down, after all. Sorry man.

The way I vote is very simple, I view the promo thread and the shows as if I'm a fan. So after the buildup to a match, if the effort is made I know who I reckon should win as well as who I want to win.
For example Colt, BRB and Caleb get a lot of my votes because I'm actual fans if the characters, despite them being established rivals of mine.
And I guess that I get my votes because whilst I don't promo a lot in the promo thread, I always make a big effort on the shows themselves with detailed promos and a bit if match writing that puts my opponents over no matter what.

I thought Evil M was taking the week off from everything? I only ask this because you have him booked for a match.

I got the impression that he wanted to take a break from running the fed but still wanted his character to do things. Anyway, if it turns out that I've misunderstood and that the Evil M character is supposed to be selling injuries right now and that Evil M the real person isn't available to post an exchange with Super Masked Hero X, then sorry for the screwup, M. My bad.

Ah okay, that's good. Anyway, here's the match-writing signup list. (Richlen, I'm confident that you'll do a good job with the six-man tag match, although if you want help then I'm here.) I guess I'll write Cageking vs. Grave, and one more if need be. So here's how it looks at the moment: Sparks vs. The General of the Monkey Army vs. LionhartTriple treat match to determine the #1 contender for the Hardcore Championship. Hardcore rules (i.e. none). Being written by aka Eldritch OmastarLittle Naitch vs. Ryan BloodCageking vs. Jeremy GraveIf Grave wins, he gets a shot at Cageking's InterForum Championship at the upcoming PPV, and gets to choose the type of match. At the moment, my promos are short or unmemorable (well, especially so, I don't think any that I've written have been particularly memorable), because my character has nothing happening.
I was happy as hell to win the MITB match, and still am, but its a hindrance in a way. I can't go for any other titles, because I'll always lose - people know that I have a guaranteed World Title match anyway. I haven't been in an actual feud with anyone for a while, mainly because there's nothing to feud over.
Another thing is, its very difficult to judge how to cash it in. A lot of guys are coming up, and (rightfully, may I point out) earning title shots and main event spots, so I don't wanna overshadow them in any way.
Basically, I've come up with the idea to have a "feud" of sorts with Jesse King, because he hates me, which I think was something BRB came up with.
So the point is, I'm losing a lot at the moment because there's no investment in my character to make people vote for me, and I'm not sure how to rectify it. I'm happy to put guys over, but at the moment I'm in a difficult position. The more I hold the briefcase while losing matches, the less people will buy it when I do cash it in, and possibly become a main event player.

If I can help you, I would recomend this: Next Raw, you come out with the case and give a promo about a "Open Season". You call out every Champion or Tournament winner here and that you are going to come after all of them until you find one that you break down enough and then cash in on them. Which one? Well, depends on which one you want.
