japan's made it seem like the opponent had a chance. here in america you can see the scripted-ness a mile a way. Yeah. In ICA the only way any challenger had any chance was if they faced Morimoto, Cat Cora, or Chef Simon. If they face Flay or Batali, they were f***ed. I always hated the fact that pretty much everyone that fought those two were jobbers. Granted, Bobby Flay does lose and it's wonderous.

This is not even a contest. Even though I hate that Iron Chef classic lost the Backdraft music, which made it all the more epic, the show is just fantastically fun to watch. CHen Kenichi was just a master in the kitchen and I defy you to name anything more epic, yet make you laugh harder than Masahiko Kobe's ascent into Kitchen Stadium with a FULL STRING ENSEMBLE.

ICJ was far, far better. Then again, ICA had Batista as a judge once...
