After more than ten years, Steve Johnson has revealed test photos of what would have been Superman's costume in Superman Lives. The movie was in development to be directed by Tim Burton, initially with a script by Kevin Smith (though Burton hired Wesley Strick to rewrite the whole script). Nicolas Cage was signed on to play Superman and $30 million was sunk into the film before Warner Bros. killed it. Credit: 411mania.com www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=247048&id=183083583928

Y'know, for what it is, it's kind of cool. I mean, it's still an affront, but it's kinda cool. You can definitely see them being influenced by Red/Blue Superman with that costume.
Can you imagine how history would have changed if Nic Cage was wearing that thing?

I like this picture best: Why, you ask? Because of the Nic Cage sculpted head. Shows just how far they went with this.

So Superman's costume was suppose to look like those cheap sunglasses lens that you buy at the dollar store?

I really need some fanart of Batman finding this hidden in the back of Superman's closet and just losing it.

I could see that suit being in an Elseworlds story that posits what it would be like if all the superheroes were anti-viruses and all the villains were viruses and they duked it out in cyberspace.
But as a movie, I'd laugh my ass off if that was the suit.
