Striker's entire persona seems to be cheap heat. Insult the town? Check. Insult the fan's intelligence? Check.
But I find him very entertaining for some reason. Not as a wrestler, mind you (but he gets props for wearing argyle kneepads), but on the mic, he is pretty good at being an ass.
Yes, it's just the old Dean Douglas gimmick with less stupidity, but does anyone else mark for the teach?

I actually like striker. I wish he would be more like his first promo where he talked about not smoking the pot and everything. but its funny.

I mark for him, and he'd make a great I-C Champion.
They should have a weekly segment with the Blackboard in the ring, called "Striker's Class" or something. He can talk and doesn't need a manager/valet.

It gets so much heel heat though. I love it. He tells the truth, that's all. And unlike Nitro or Umaga, he's actually over with 1/4 the screentime.

He gets crowd heat, which is something that Shelton (is he a heel anymore?) and Nitro can't get on their own.

I'll say this for Striker. He has a definable persona that gets heat which is more than I can say for Conway, Umaga, Shelton, and Nitro. (No offense to Shelton fans, as he gets decent heat, but I have no idea what the hell is gimmick is at this point)

When it came to Benjamin, creative apparently gave him the generic heel directions they gave to Helms on Smackdown: Wear sunglasses and look cocky,

Striker's a good heel, even if he does just use cheap heat. It gets over with the crowd, at least.
He also needs to be talking about "smoking the pot" again.

You know what Raw's writing team is doing with Benamin? It's called "holding him down". He got very good heel heat against RVD at Backlash and they often don't follow up on those things. When he steals the show for the 3rd straight Raw PPV, was that followed up on? Of course not. They NEVER do. But one thing has not changed...Shelton still has the matches of the night on Raw every single week, no matter what.

I'm telling you folks a "Terell Owens" like gimmick with Shelton surrounded by a bunch of agents, PR men, consultants, etc is the way to go with him. Make up him a guy who negotiates whether or not he wrestles based on how big his cut is in his merchandise. Hell get Coach out of the useless McMahon flunky role and have him act as Shelton's mouthpiece.

Shelton needs to be the "face who can wrestle" for now. I don't like him as a heel, I don't like anyone really as a heel who just does moves that make me go "wow"

I think he's funny. I saw him at a live event once, and he put out his hand for a high five from a little kid and right as the kid was going to, he pulled away. I know I'm cold and heartless for it, but I thought it was great.
