 In 1982 Jim Henson released what IMO, is his crowing achievement: The Dark Crystal, a darker movie then he had previously done, but didn't fare all that well in theaters. It has since became a cult favorite and a sequel is in development, supposedly to be released in 2012. Just seeing how many other people love this movie as much as I do... it was pretty much, hands down, my favorite movie as a child. |

It, along with Labyrinth, is one of the most gorgeous movies I've ever seen visually, but I haven't seen it in years.

I have a box set of this, Labyrinth and a Gaiman film called Mirrormask which is a modern Labyrinth.
Awesome set.
I love Chamberlain - TRAIL BY STONE!

This movie scared the crap out of me as a kid. Same here. The parts where they exile Chamberlain and when the Garthim kill the landstriders were particularly frightening to me when I was a child. |

^Yeah... the Skeksis are pretty creepy, but god I loved that stuff. Aughra used to scare me as well.

I'm more partial to Labyrinth, but Dark Crystal and Mirrormask are awesome as well.
