Pretty old I guess, but I watched SonicsGate: Requiem for a Team yesterday. HIGHEST recommendation. You can watch it for free on the official site.
I've also decided to follow the TrailBlazers more, just based on their owner having a good heart.

sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5433607Dec. 2 is the date that LeBron goes back to Cleveland, on TNT of course. Dec. 2: Heat at Cavs Dec. 15: Cavs at Heat Jan. 31: Cavs at Heat Mar. 29: Heat at Cavs Bummer that it won't be Heat at Cavs on Xmas Day. Why? SHOCKER! Heat vs. Lakers on Xmas Day.

Chris Broussard says Shaq to the Celtics is likely done by tonight. Over the hill O'Neals, unite!

Boston.com is reporting that the Celtics are close to signing Shaq. Eating establishments around Boston are overjoyed This upsets me, but not in the way that you'd expect. Am I unhappy that the Celtics signed a washed-up, 38 year-old center who has had a bitter departure from every team he's played for? Absolutely. What upsets me more is that this comes on the heels of the Celtics using the mid-level exception on Jermaine O'Neal. If the Celtics knew that they could land Shaq at the veteran's minimum, then they shouldn't have used the MLE on a guy who plays the same position as the Diesel. They could have used the mid-level exception on a defensive stopper, like Matt Barnes, who could have replaced what Tony Allen brought to the table, while at the same time improving it. Now the Celtics find themselves with two aging centers, a power forward who is still working to repair an injured knee and two swingmen who can be great in spurts, just as easily as they can be tough to watch. Fortunately, they also have the best young point guard in the NBA. You could talk me into this Celtics team winning 60 games just as easily as you could talk me into them winning 45 games. It's a coin flip.

Carmelo Anthony is not expected to sign an extension with the Nuggets this summer, a source tells Hoopsworld's Alex Kennedy.

4 of the Thunder's games were revealed tonight on NBA TV.
The Thunder have THREE holiday games so far this year.
They open the season at home against Chicago. They play Utah on Halloween. They play LA on MLK Day, and the biggest of all, THE THUNDER PLAY ON CHRISTMAS HOSTING THE NUGGETS!
f*** yes! They get the night game on arguably the biggest non-playoff day in the season.

Please don't tell me this means Carmelo is seriously thinking about accepting Chris Paul's proposal to join forces with him and go to New York with Amar'e to form the second Big 3 team in the league?

I'm mixed on the Shaq signing. He's pretty old (Celtics old...) and slow and doesn't fit well with their offense. On the other hand, he's motherf***ing Shaq.
They're amassing the biggest s*** talking team in NBA history.

Shaq is a shadow of himself. He has the name, but aside from that I hope they're not expecting anything near Laker-level Shaq, or even Miami-level Shaq.

After what the owner printed, I wouldn't expect him to thank them either.

I hope he is. I realize I've been in the minority from the start, but I love the super teams. The games will be insane, plus if a team not half as heralded beats them it would make the players on that team for life.

Thing is, if this second super team happens, it means the East will basically be just 4 teams, the Celtics, the Knicks, the Magic, and the Heat.
