Eminem is an amazing rapper and pretty much the only in his genre I like, but my god does he whine a lot. Or used to, as in fairness he appears to have matured at last.

I like Axl Rose's work, but I detest him with all my heart. I hate people like him.
Noel and Liam (Oasis). Like the music, but can't stand either of them.

This is easy for me: Tom Warrior, sorry, "Thomas Gabriel Fischer" of Celtic Frost/Triptykon.
I like (for the most part) the music he's created over the last three decades, some hits and some misses, but that come with the territory.
However, the man himself can be a pretentious asshole at times. He takes himself far too seriously, and often goes into these artsy-fartsy tangents during interviews. This is most evident in his current stage name. Instead of just calling himself "Tom Fischer", he takes the longhand form of "Thomas Gabriel Fischer", which I still find just utterly ridiculous. The fact that he takes himself so seriously during all this makes him an easy target of parody, yet I still enjoy what he does.
Now, if only he would stop rewriting "Monotheist" with Triptykon.

I'm amazed we've gotten this far without mentioning Gene Simmons. I love KISS and all, but Gene seems like a gigantic douche.

Prince. His catalog is absolute genius, but he doesn't seem like the kind of guy I'd like to even hang out with. The guy takes himself waaaaaaaaay too seriously for someone who's posed in bikini briefs on his album covers.

Hearing Kevin Smith's experience with the man was all I needed to hear to know I'd never get along with him if we met.

All the beatles except George Harrison wait wut But everyone loves Ringo!! Personally, I'm surprised no one's mentioned Robert Fripp yet. Guy is a god on the guitar, but is also one of the most pretentious, egotistical assholes out there.

David Byrne - I enjoy Talking Heads, but Byrne sounds like a total dick the way his former bandmates talk about him.

I have to rebut this post. Tom G. Warrior is a humongous influence to the metal scene. His first band, Hellhammer is regarded as one of the pioneering bands of European extreme metal. The day after Hellhammer broke up, Celtic Frost was formed, and proceeded to release three or four metal classics. To Mega Therion and Morbid Tales especially. Then in 1990(ish) came Cold Lake, one of the biggest mistake a metal band has ever made. Celtic Frost went from innovative and grounbreaking, to a glam rock trend jumper. This would set back Tom Warrior's career for years as CF broke up in '93 and did not reform until 2001. So I am of the opinion that Tom, just doesn't give a damn about what anyone else thinks, especially after the Cold Lake debacle. The guy deserves more praise than he usually gets. "Some hits and some misses" is a speculative statement and dismisses his importance and talent despite one gigantic whiff in the Cold Lake album. Everything besides, has been high quality, including the Apollyon Sun releases And Triptykon's 2010 release is an extension of the Monotheist direction, and pretty damn ambitious.

I came in to say this.I am a HUGE Prince fan,but man,is he anal about a whole bunch of stuff.Even small things like him saying he would never allow his songs in a Rock Band/Guitar Hero game, cause it doesn't help you learn real guitar, pisses me off.

At least from everything I've heard he is great with fans, and that pretty much goes for all of KISS. But yeah he can be a douche.

Any of the electronic artists and bands that make good music in their core genres but don't dare to touch the potential goldmine of an almost untapped genre that has been so constantly ignored.

I heard that last time Prince came here he wouldn't sign autographs or have photos taken of or with him but sat on the steps of his bus promoting his religion to the fans. And yes Gene Simmons is a major asshole who even the hotel dreads

Weird Al could do it anyway, but he generally prefers to get permission as a courtesy.

Everything besides, has been high quality, including the Apollyon Sun releases And Triptykon's 2010 release is an extension of the Monotheist direction, and pretty damn ambitious. I'm not saying he wasn't influential. I know of the history behind the man and the band, and I like most of what he's done in the past, save for Cold Lake (although, Vanity/Nemesis is where most of the "hit or miss" camp comes from with me, but that's my own opinion). Part of why I like Celtic Frost in the first place is because it was such a bold band, often going in completely different directions. Maybe saying he sounds like a "pretentious asshole" was a little harsh, I'll admit that, but there is something about his writing style in interviews and blog posts that kind of put me off, but that's just me. And I loved Monotheist, for the record. It's one of my favorite albums from the band. The Triptykon debut was pretty good too, despite it sounding a little too similar to Monotheist. However, the new song I heard from the upcoming Triptykon EP sounds like Monotheist yet again, and there's only so much a band can do in that same direction. I'd like to see Triptykon succeed, but they need to start branching out the sound a lot more, and I'm not hearing that with the new song very much. Of course, it is just one song off an EP, but because EPs are shorter, that's usually a judge of what the rest of it would sound like.

Steve Albini. Big Black was a great band (Ministry ripped their sound off from them.) Produced some awesome albums and is really concerned about bands being ripped off by record companies. But every interview he comes off as a complete douchenozzle.
