You should get Foley's ROH Straight Shootin' if your intrested in it, He talks about WWE creative alot.
& He also talks about a skit he came up with that creative rejected, Here's what it was.
Back when he was the comish, He needs to use the phone so he goes outside to use the pay phone but he needs a quater, Naked Mideon happens to be passing by so Foley asks Mideon for a quater, Mideon says sure & Foley reaches into Mideon change pouch that he wore & says "I just want one quater not a whole roll".

i hearing these quotes about the creative team a few months back. unnamed wrestlers "hey i have a great idea to get heat on my character" "no your not going to be heat your on raw tonight"
another one was the infamous question after Bradshaws bloodied face "how did you make the blood look so real and make it gush"
and "hey are you here for the lights out match?".... yeah i know seriously this is the problems with the wwe right now.

Thing is, the Hollywood hacks knowing nothing of wrestling is just what Vince wants. The only thing they'll know about "good booking," they learn from Vince. Thus, Vince creates a team he's happy with and that never, ever argues with him. Case in Point: Vince's recent McMahon-ism promo was booed out of the ring & bombarded with the dreaded "Boring!" chant, if I heard correctly. Thus causing the usually unflappable Mr. McMahon character to tell the audience "This isn't boring!" If the *cough* "Creative" *cough* team had even the slightest bit of backbone they would have pointed out how sucktacular this promo was & how it would have bombed. Surrounding yourself with "Yes" men is a way to lose sight of what the public wants. (Here's a hint: they don't want Vince's pasty white ass plastered all over T.V.!) Further to the "Fake bleeding" query, I think one of the so-called creative team also referred to a dark match as a "lights out" match.

Seriously a wrestling fan has to infiltrate the offices after getting a stint writing for a Drama/Comedy show HAHAHA Vince: So, new guy. You've worked on some pretty highly rated comedy shows, and oh, a drama show too. Who do you think we should push? New Writer: CM Punk. Vince: DAMN IT

I would rather see a resume for someone that said that they had no experience outside of wrestling than for someone who knew all kinds of stuff about other things. at least they know THEIR product. A great wrestler like Jake Roberts would be a great writer, how many shows outside of wrestling has he written?

And THIS, folks, is why WE need our own promotion... Agreed. World Wrestlecrap Championship Wrestling Federation ...that should keep us from being sued. I say we start booking it now. Um... Anyone on here want to wrestle for free on the first show??? Sign me up! I may only be a cruiserweight but as long as this isn't the E I have a chance to at least look decent right? ...right? Or were we just joking. Technically I'm half joking cause I'm trying to start a fed using the technique of Machinima, but that's only in the theoretical stages.

How can they not like that Foley promo, goddamn dummies. I think you answered your own question there. But I agree. I just wish Vince wasn't apparently more egotistical than 99% of hollywood, then we'd have writers who you know...actually know about WRESTLING.

They got their job the same way everyone else in the entertainment industry did - they knew somebody.
People are overstating the role of writers in the WWE. They're not booking, deciding who's getting pushed, etc. They're helping out with dialogue, and they're pitching some comedy bits. They really don't need to know anything about wrestling.

Save for the part where we keep hearing the WWE uses no bookers and only writers, hence the stress.

Well, Vince probably thinks he has done already he can in the wrestling business, and in that sense, he's right. As a matter of personal business and ambition, he's read to move on to bigger things.
However, Vince has one huge flaw; he knows how to take risks, but ha little to no knowledge on how to handle risk that is uninvolved with wrestling. Unfortunately, Vince only knows how to market and promote wrestling well, he has little to no knowledge on how to market and promote non-wrestling subjects. He will never be anything but a wrestling promoter, not because of his flaw, but his lack of managing his flaws.

Something I have always known about Vince is that he may be a Big Fish in a Small Pond in the wrestling world, but he's always the other way around outside of it.
