About a year ago somebody (I don't remember who) started a contest to determine the Greatest North American Sports Franchise. That contest was never finished so I decided to start it up again.
Here's how it works. Similar to my Tag Team Champions contest, every day I will present two teams. You vote on which team was the better franchise. The entire history of the teams should be considered not just where they stand today.
The winning team moves on to face a new team the next day. The losing team is eliminated. If a team wins 7 straight matches they advance to round 2. All teams from MLB, the NFL, the NBA, and the NHL will take part in this contest.
