I find it a cute name. It sounds somehow proper.

I think it's partly because the Snivy line has had the most fan love, the Tepig line has has probably the most metagaming intrigue, and Oshawott's line is in the awkward position of "Hey guys, it's another Water pokemon. You know, like 40% of pokemon probably are. That won't be hard to find a niche."
