Has anyone else seen these commercials so many times that you remember lyrics from different songs together like they are one?
One of my favorites that I've always remembered was:
Billy, don't be a hero, don't be a fool with your life. We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun.

Surprisingly can't remember instances of lyrics running together.
However, I clearly remember "Workin' at the car wash" as an utter chode of a human being made a ridiculous face and pretended to be buffing a car. Even as a kid, something about that guy made me want to slap that look off his face.

I love these commercials, they are where I learned a lot of song artists and I knew in those 4 second or so clips if I was going to actually like the song.
Let's see, if I remember correctly:"You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name/I heard my momma cry, I heard her pray the night Chicago died"

Never bought one of the Time Life Collections, but I own 95% of the old school R&B/Soul one they advertise.

One I remember most was for a hair metal compilation and it transitioned Ratt's "Round and Round" into Warrant's "Cherry Pie":
"What goes around comes around, I'll tell you why/She's my cherry pie..."

They always seem to have at least one song that doesn't belong, like "Love Train" by the O'Jays on the "Freedom Rock" commercial

One of the funnier compilations was a recent 70s set. It was 10 discs and I happened to catch the 30 minute version of the infomercial one night. So I'm watching all these songs go by and I go "wow, there's A LOT of one hit wonders on this. It would be easier for me to count the non-one hit wonders haha." and then 5 minutes later they have the nerve to say "And if you order now....we'll include a bonus disc of the best 70s One Hit Wonders."

Yeah, that's happened a few times actually.
For years, the only Alabama songs I know are in order from the way they are in this commercial (which used to air all the time during shows like WCW Saturday Night):

For years, the only Alabama songs I know are in order from the way they are in this commercial (which used to air all the time during shows like WCW Saturday Night): They should put out a box set of all the albums offered on tv with that same background. I have a feeling they just called all the big acts in one day and they stood in line while the artist(s) ahead of them recorded their spot.

And my mind now wanders to a segment of the MST3K ep "Tormented" with all the "Sessions Presents" jokes.
