...from a diversity-themed posting on the employee website at work. It's for the upcoming holiday season, and it mentions the "Jewish tradition of Hanukkah and the African celebration of Kwanzaa." Even a 30 second Wikipedia search would tell you that Kwanzaa isn't African, isn't celebrated by Africans, isn't even known of by the vast majority of Africans, and is only commemorated in America, because that's where it was started. That's just irritating.

It is definitely not celebrated but I guess I can add to this by saying the vast majority you speak of specifically includes Africans who don't speak Swahili and of course those that do would be aware of what Kwanzaa means.
