Thoughts? I don't see many obvious candidates. Edge maybe? I'm kind of hoping out for an epic reign of Kane that lasts at least past the Rumble.

I do think Kane deserves a longer reign. Of course this is better than his one day title run, but still. I think he can offer lots of things to Friday Night Smackdown, without feuding with 'Taker for the next few months.
Edge, perhaps. Lets see what they can do together again, five years later. Face and heel switcharoo.

Edge or Big Show.
Rey's program with ADR isn't finished, so it wont be him.
Money is on Edge, as Big Show was made to look a complete idiot getting counted out like that.

Edge, who will probably take the belt off him since they don't give a shit about the other only over face on SD, Kofi.

Edge, who will probably take the belt off him since they don't give a s*** about the other only over face on SD, Kofi. Kofi would make a great underdog challenger for the TLC PPV.

Edge seems the obvious candidate, he seems rejuvenated on Smackdown! and built right would be a big threat to Kane. Plus we'll see the Kane Edge Title match we should have got in 2007 before Edge got injured.

I'd actually enjoy a nice little program with Kofi as it's BEYOND time for them to push him as a mainevent contender. He doesn't have to win the belt, but give him at least a few good wins here and there to establish him.

Even though Kaval has a PPV title match, who's going to want to see a dominant monster wrestle against a guy who hasn't even won a match, for the title?

* Edge * Big Show * John Cena (since Nexus have the tag titles, they could attempt this) * Kaval (has the PPV title shot and they could do a program where Kane bullies Kaval to the point that Kaval has had enough) * Kofi Kingston * Rey Mysterio
Smackdown has plenty of faces they could work a storyline with Kane.

Rey hate has been dying down, so the WWE will probably have him do it.
