If somebody said, "Hey, come watch this with me", with WWE programming as it is right now, would you be able to get into it and become a fan?

No. It's so stupid it isn't funny, yet I've been a fan for so long I cannot miss as least a month of Raw.

Hello no. It's hokey, not the least bit dramatic, and the in-ring action isn't even that spectacular. The Nexus storyline is not going to hook in non-fans.
I'm pretty sure that unless one of our members happens to be in elementary school, the majority of the other posters will feel the same.

It Depends....Am I aware of Wrestling's History (Basic Stuff even non-fans know) from the time I was born, or am I completely in the dark about all things wrestling?
Because if it's the former.....I think I'd watch TNA, after hearing that Legends like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and the guys that made the nWo the biggest thing in entertainment were there it sounds alright.
If it's the latter, I don't think I'd watch WWE.

I wouldn't remember or recognize anyone and almost all the major guys look like boring musclemen in trunks, so probably not.
I got back into wrestling a few years ago when I saw that Shawn and Undertaker were still around, and playing characters more reminiscent of their New Generation personas than of their later iterations, and were being awesome doing it. I'm not sure there's anyone left who could give me that same nostalgic feeling.
The current 'Taker/Kane feud, maybe, but as much as I'm enjoying that, it's impossible to deny that they look like two aging guys whose best days are well behind them now.

I have a friend who got into WWE again after a looooong hiatus. He's pretty casual about it though. At least I got someone to go with me when they come to Indy.

I distinctly remember watching the Spirit Squad in action.
Anyone, including me, who will suffer through a male cheerleader gimmick and keep watching would happily trade that for the storylines and action going on today.

Maybe. I got back into WWE around the time the Spirit Squad came to be and Randy Orton was telling Rey Mysterio that Eddie Guerrero was in Hell.
I'd probably be asking a lot of questions about characters and plots, but I'd give it a go.

I took a break from wrestling after the Invasion angle failed so miserably and I started watching again after the first One Night Stand PPV. If it weren‘t for that, I would have probably never been hooked back in.
And to answer the original question, if I had never ever been interested in any sort of professional wrestling up until this point, I don‘t know why I‘d start now.
However, I have several friends who are my age (early 20‘s) who started watching the WWE around 2002. Maybe it‘s because I‘m a little jaded but I never understood why anyone who was conscious for the Attitude Era would choose to start watching wrestling after it.

No but not through any fault of the product I just think it must be hard to become a fan as an adult if you've never seen wrestling before. If I didn't watch it as a kid I doubt I would ever have given wrestling a chance in later life unless it was out of curiosity during a boom period.
Maybe if the somebody was a girlfriend that was passionate about wrestling I would give it a chance for her sake but even then I would probably just tolerate it and only really get into the big moments.

I stopped watching WWE after Wrestlemania 25 because things just didn't click anymore. I was a religious fan since I can remember, but by 2006, signs were fading. I've tried several times to get back into it, but after watching(or trying to watch) a show, I'm glad I don't anymore. My only knowledge of the current product is on here and thats not going to change. WWE is damanged beyond repair in my eyes.

What an interesting question.
The time I got hooked I was young and it was the Attitude era. Everything seemed so edgy, and I was desperate to see what would happen next in so many storylines.
If I was watching for the first time today, I don't think I would get hooked.

Maybe, but only if it were on a good match. Like if I was introduced to WWE by watching DBD and Ziggler's match on Raw, I'd probably like it.
