I was just talking with my friend, and after years of us saying 'yeah if the Rock turns up to do this, it'll be so cool!!' we agreed that we actually don't care anymore.
I think it was after the whole 'i'm planning on doing something special this summer!' thing where we just felt really let down and it's just a thing of 'well you don't care about us, we don't care about you'.
I know a lot of fans still want him to return though and while I wouldn't be against a return, I really just don't care either way anymore. How do you feel?

It'd be neat to see him come back as a one time thing for an episode.

I'd rather he stayed away.

It'd be great if he came back for a bit. I would be made up to see him on WWE TV again.
But I hate the attitude that some people have taken towards him "owing the fans" or whatever. I really just don't agree with it.

I'd love to see him come back for a match against Cena, where Cena absolutely destroys him. I used to support The Rock, but he's turned into a huge phony. His opinions on WWE change with every interview.

I really just don't agree with it. I see what you mean. Sure I miss seeing him on monday nights, but honestly if he was able to get out of the business, make more money doing something else and doesn't have to take bumps and damage his body all the power to him. I don't see what everyone was expecting him to do. Stay around forever? Then you'd just lump him in with Hogan, Flair and all the other guys you want to just quit and go away.

I really just don't agree with it. I don't think he owes us anything, but why promise things that you can't keep? Personally, I would mark when his music hit then probably realise half way through his promo that PG Rock would suck, and I genuinely think there are probably better talkers in WWE at the moment.

The only thing that gets me is he can and will take time out to go to a UFC event while filming fast 5 but still nothing in regards to a wwe appearance , i mean usually what we hear is it's scheduling that prevents him from appearing in a wwe ring , but he can find the time to go to UFC come on Rocky don't piss in one ear and tell the other one it's raining.

I miss he rock but in all honesty it's time to move on. I would love to see him do his thing one more time but really the company has changed. Were looking to the next generation after cena, orton, edge and so on. Maybe it would be best to for him not to show at all and that way we can keep the meomory of him in his prime with no ring rust and an attitude era vocabulary. That said I can't wait to finish watching the DVD

Honestly? I stopped caring about the Rock at least 6 or 7 years ago. At that point he stopped being a wrestler or a former wrestler, so I don't expect him to be on a wrestling show.

At this point, I don't care if he comes back. I always wanted Rock v. HBK but that's probably never going to happen. I'd like Rock v. Cena..but it doesn't really matter to me if I never see it.
WWE was a job for The Rock - he did really well at that job but he moved on to a different career.
I have a job now that I'm quite good at and I rather like it. I used to push carts for Wal-Mart. If Wal-Mart called me right now because they had no one to work that shift that night, should I feel obligated to go fill in? No. I worked for them, they paid me to work, I don't owe them anything.
That's my view on the whole thing anyway.
