Are over 18... They've had a more hits than misses as a company, so I stick around. Then again, I watch 2/3 of Impact every week before it gets retarded.

Are over 18... That's pretty close to the percentage of the general population that is over the age of 18... so does this really mean anything at all?

Even though they have a more kid-friendly product now, a bigger percentage of kids watched Raw during the Attitude era.

I started watching as a kid during the Attitude Era myself; I caught a few episodes on TV during the summer, and then my mom started taping them for me each week.
Though I would lie in bed at night and listen for theme music, so I knew who was coming out and came out with the upper hand out of a match or segment.

It's funny how their main audience is over 18 yet it caters to the minority. That's like saying an Italian restaurant should be serving mostly tacos and burritos, it doesn't make sense!

Caters to the minority, or keeps it open so it can be enjoyed by both? Keeping it PG and safe for kids to watch is a great strategy, so long as it's fun for all.
I'm going to use the Doctor Who franchise as a metaphor: - Doctor Who = Meant to be for all. Adults can watch it and there'll be stories and characters they can enjoy, and the same applies for the kids, but there's never anything that'd be too violent or sexual for kids to watch. - Torchwood Series 1 = Meant for 'adults', which basically means that the plots have a ton of gratuitous sex and violence thrown in for no apparent reason. Kids might be able to watch it depending on their maturity level, but if I were a parent, I'd be pretty wary. - Sarah Jane Adventures = Meant for kids. There's still some great stories in there, but there's more of an effort to make it childish, with comedy characters running about and a greater focus on amusing mishaps.
So, it's all the same franchise, and the tone never changes too much from the core product. But the different emphases have a huge impact on how the show is perceived. WWE still has a way to go, as it does veer a bit too far towards the more openly kiddy stuff. At the same time, I wouldn't want it to go back to the Torchwood-ish Attitude Era. But finding that perfect middle ground that everyone can enjoy on some level, now that's talent.
Things like the Nexus-Cena story are a great example. Adults can enjoy it for the surprisingly good writing, and the awesomeness of Barrett, but kids can appreciate it on their own level, waiting for their hero to overcome the bad guy.

Unless you weren't allowed too My parents stopped letting me watch the unedited Raws after the episode where Bubba Ray powerbombed Mae Young off the stage through a table. Even as a kid I sorta knew that was a fair call.
