Was it a success? I mean, if Barrett wins the WWE Title at Bragging Rights, then Raw's only 2 champions (provided Natalya doesn't win) would be Barrett and Daniel Bryan. It's so back weird going back and watching Season 1 clips knowing what happens with the Nexus and whatnot; it seems so long ago despite only being about 7-8 old. Also, I sort of miss Wild & Young...

As stupid as the challenges were I have to say yes. Barrett is a star, Bryan is the U.S champ, and everyone else has some credibility now. Darren Young, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, Skip Sheffield, and even Otunga look pretty solid now while Tarver is the only one whos future looks iffy.

NXT1 a success? If the purpose of the show was to develop stars out of the featured rookies, then I would say yes. If the purpose of the show was to create a strong new brand for the WWE, then no.

Well when I look back at season 1, I miss Barrett's jacket and flower. He needs to bring that back when Nexus runs its course

Still far too early to say if that's the case. You can't realistically expect 7(?) rookies or unknown men to cause a new brand for a company the size of the WWE. It's sole purpose was to give mainstream exposure to developmental talent before they received the call to the main roster.
