He wasn't very impressive on NXT, but now that Nexus is thining out enough that the individual members are actually getting to show some personality, I'm really enjoying his current character as the weasel-ish douchebag trying to prove that he's tough without actually having to do any work.
The whole "Yeah, I'm ready to take on Randy Orton tonight... but Gabriel should instead." bit was comic gold.

The face turn (at least that is what it seems to me) is working for him (that or not being in the ring). I just cannot help but, wonder if it's a play to get his wife to show up on camera sometime.

I'm starting to ease off him too. Of course, I haven't seen him wrestle in a while. Once I do, I'll be back to 100% hating him.

he'd be an excellent personality but I don't want to see him wrestle.

Maybe he should become a full time manager.
Play to his strengths to hide his weaknesses. Make people want to see him get his ass kicked instead of placing him in wrestling matches.

Otunga has the potential to be a decent Starscream.
I'm curious if he'll reach out to the likes of Tarver or Young at some point.

Had he about three or four more years of experience under his belt, he could be a superstar heel. He's terrible in the ring but I really hope he gets better because he could be a fantastic heel one day.

I could see Otunga thrive in a Prince Nana-type role of being the mouthpiece of a group of heels and only wrestling occassionally.

Otugnuts should adopt a Hollywood Agent gimmick and have a stable of wrestlers as clients. He has that scummy douchebag vibe down. All he needs is a suit, cell phone, and assistant.

Otunga isn't turning face, he's just a titanic weasel. I agree that he's great on the mic, but the guy's terribly inexperienced. He needs a lot more seasoning before he can be anything other than a manager. I hope the WWE sees that.

Boy, the match between him and Barret will be godawful because he can't wrestle for shit, but I'm enjoying the buildup.

The sooner Barrett destroys him, the better. The only danger is, this could turn Barrett monster face.

Him saying "That 450 splash will do a lot of damage to Randy Orton" in retrospect is kinda funny now.

MVP = Back to his TO like gimmick Jack Swagger = Crazy White Guy Like Chris "Birdman" Andersen (NBA Denver Nuggets) John Morrsion = His ECW Gmmmick + others

I'm a big fan of his. The man is a legitimate good guy and I think he has some excellent promo skills, which is what matters more than in-ring work in the WWE and he will learn and get better in time, definitely.
I do think they are working on a slow face turn for him, and I think he'll be pretty over because of it.

I think he will get better in the ring. At least as good as Batista was who wasn't very good at all.
You have to remember that bringing up Otunga who has less than two years of experience would be like bringing Batista up way back in 2000 or 2001 and he sucked even worse then than he did in his prime in WWE. Cornette has said over and over how bad Batista was even though they pushed him to the moon in OVW.

I've never hated Otunga, but the way the Pros kept talking about how terrible he was in the ring on NXT really killed his credibility out of the gate. It's going to take a while for him to bounce back from such a total burial.
