Why did they bring him back for a couple of weeks on Raw just to release him? It just doesn't make sense. Even Colin Delaney thought D-Lo Brown's 2nd WWE run was stupid.

They realized he was over, then he got there and creative didn't have anything, I'd guess.

did he even make it onto raw? I knew they signed him but never actually saw or heard of him being on tv.

He had a hell of a run didn't he?
RAW 7/21/08: returned and defeated Santino.
RAW 7/28/08: lost to Santino and Beth. His partner was Kelly Kelly.
RAW 8/18/08: beat Santino...by DQ.
RAW 9/1/08: lost to Santino.
RAW 11/10/08: squashed by Mike Knox.
A little bit later: released.

I guess someone liked him, then that someone lost influence or someone else persuaded the higher-ups to cut him in some politicking war.
It certainly wasn't because he wasn't over or sucked in the ring.

Wonder how long until guys from the late 90s qualify to make those random surprise Raw appearances. Like to replace Superfly, Slaughter, IRS, Piper and the rest of the 80s crew.

And now he's in TNA, pulling back stars from beating each other up.
I always enjoyed D'Lo.

He said that he initially was supposed to win the Intercontinental title on debut, but it got changed throughout the day.

I remember D-Lo had a real big botch in one of the match against Santino, must not have helped.

I remember hearing that he was getting some good pops from the crowd whenever he'd come out. It's weird that they released him.

He certainly had more exposure than 2 Cold Scorpio's comeback. At least he got on TV a few times.

The only thing I remember about D-Lo was that stupid chest protector he wore everywhere.
That and I think I remember him following around Mark Henry while he was chasing around transexuals or something like that.

I marked out like hell when he returned. Shame it didn't pan out, he could've had a Goldust-esque role and put the new younger guys over.
Never mind, he seems okay in his TNA role.

Ortiz came out first to a Conway Pop, and D-Lo came out to the second loudest pop of the whole night. No lie.

I remember D-Lo had a real big botch in one of the match against Santino, must not have helped. I know the match you are talking about and remember him botching, but not quite sure of the move he botched. Thinkinh it was either a jumping calf kick or dropkick that he executed rather weakly.

He had a big pop when he returned, but the crowd got quieter and quieter every week. I recall pins dropping during his last couple of appearances.

I honestly think that the company could never invest in him after the Droz incident.
I mean, sure, he got great pops. But when he was back in the ring, I saw the saw mid-card guy who didn't set me on fire during his initial run, but was technically sound and a great European Title-level guy.
