It's bad enough I got to see him every time on the WWE update commercials, having him on commentary is even worse.

He's the weekend sports anchor at WNBC in New York so he's familiar to me. Also from the looks of his site, he seems to be a big WWE fan.
I mean, can't be much worse than Adamle, right? Although...

Poor Jack Korpela. Is he still with the company? He reminded me of the trix rabbit.

Who is this person you all speak of? The guy to the right. He was the PBP guy on the RAW portion of Superstars this week.

He didn't seem to know the actual names of moves.

He didn't seem to know the actual names of moves. Sounds like a perfect WWE commentator!

Maybe it's just me, but I like it a lot better when they start out future commentators as backstage interviewers. It gives me a chance to get used to their voice.

I liked the guy. Got a good voice, could (mostly) tell the Usos apart which no one else on the planet seems to be able to, had a decent knowledge of recent history, and seemed to have King awake and involved for once.

It always amazes me what a beating new talents take. Aside from some very local indies...there isn't really a good place to get your feet wet with being a wrestling announcer. It takes time to get the tempo and timing of any announcing gig, let alone one that is so finely choreographed as wrestling. Geez, kids...give him a break and have some patience. Someone that has never done this before is going to take some time to catch a groove.
Even if the guy is a regular sports announcer...it takes a different talent set to do the different sports. If he's been doing football pbp for even years...the adjustment to another sport takes time.
Come back in six months...see where he is. And if you still think he sucks then have at it. But anything before that is just being mean. We get spoiled by people like JR, and even Michael Cole, that make it look like anyone can just put on a headset and be entertaining and effective at that job.

I haven't seen the new guy so I have no idea if I'd like him or not, but just because the job is hard doesn't mean that people don't have the right to not like his commentary. Besides, it's not like he HAS to "try" being a commentator on TV. He could..you know..practice or something.

I thought he was decent but once he is groomed into Cole's role once Cole is a full time personality on tv then we will see but of course they could have el grande on Raw and him on SD.

Good voice, seemed to know what he was talking about, didn't botch. I'm cautiously optimistic.

He's been doing the UK specials for the last couple of months. Doesn't annoy me, but I've heard better.

Although...That's funny because I wasn't as bothered by Adamle at first because he did weekend sports on NBC in Chicago so I was used to him, but he still sucked as an announcer. As for this new guy, he's okay. I'm not a fan of his voice and delivery style though. He sounds like he's trying to be a legitimate sports broadcaster and I don't think that style works well with the WWE style of product, but maybe he'll get better(assuming WWE uses him on TV again).
