What are some of the subtle things you were able to catch from tonight's Old School Raw ?
When Justin Roberts would be announce people, he was say,"unhailing from ..." I haven't heard the word unhailing since the early 90s.
Then how about when Cena and Orton started fighting and the officials in suits broke it up.
Wrestlers were cutting pre-taped picture-in-picture promos while standing behind the marble grey background. They used the marble grey background for pre-taped promos in the late 80s.

I loved the cut-in promos. They should continue that.

Merchandise shills. Kinda obvious, but how it was done was totally retro. The sponsors segment, too.

I loved the picture-in-picture promos...
Did anyone else catch the "New #1 Tag Team Championship Contenders" graphic for Koslov/Santino? Awesome... wish they'd hype "regular" matches like this more often (sort of like when TNA did their top 10 rankings)
Is there anything better than SIMPLE IS MORE??? The interview near the entrance way to start the show was AWESOME. Far more effective than interviews in the ring.

I loved how they downplayed all the pyro, lights, video screens, smoke, etc. I wish the set was like this from now on. All the special effects they now add to Raw has become overkill.

I loved the wrestler cut-ins too. I never understood why they stopped doing those in the first place.
Things I noticed that weren't mentioned yet: the blue ring posts. They looked skinnier and shorter than the ones they use today. Also, the simplified announce table with the monitors just sitting directly on top.

Who marked out when they heard, "promotional consideration paid for by the following..."?

I know, the word is hailing. Mike McGuirk used to say unhailing a lot. Look up some of videos with her doing the ring announcing.

Santino tries to get Sheik's reaction to Slick's dancing and Sheik ends up cutting a promo on Hulk Hogan.

Maybe it was the old style guard rails, but it looked like the first row was closer to the ring as well.

I liked the old intro with the "federation" part being crossed out & having entertainment being written underneath.

Was Tony Atlas starting to tape his fists?
The referee outfits.
The Brooklyn Brawler`s Daniel Bryan style chants made me lol.
